What's working, what's not at accelerator programs?

StartX, Alchemist, Berkeley Skydeck, Sfuncube share best practices

It started with Y Combinator and then TechStars. Now that there's accelerators emerging every day, what's working and what's not? Panelists included Cameron Teitelman (Founder, StartX),  Crystal Huang (COO, Sfuncube), Ravi Belani (Managing Dir., Alchemist Accelerator), and Jeff Burton (Exec. Dir., Skydeck Berkeley). Lev Mass of XSeed Capital, moderated.

An interesting question that comes up is what these accelerator managers look for in a startup? Teitelman talks about the founders and whether these are the type of people others want to work for whereas Huang says that the market and business model are more important.

Save the Date: Splash LA is Oct. 2 in Santa Monica. Speakers include Jessica Alba and Brian Lee, Founders of The Honest Company, Michael Heyward, Founder & CEO, Whisper, Mike Jones, Founder & CEO, Science, and many more. Register here.
