Financial technology startup Ascend Consumer Finance raised $1.5 million in seed funding, The round was led by Mucker Capital, with participation from OCA Ventures, Birchmere Advisors and Securian Financial Group.

Poachable, an anonymous talent marketplace, raised $750,000 in seed funding from “several new investors” including. Dawn Lepore.

Spanish ticketing startup Ticketbis raised €3 million in a round led by ACTIVE Venture Partners, Fabrice Grinda and José Marín.

Frenzoo, a developer of 3D lifestyle games for women and girls, raised $1 million in a round led by Fresco Capital, K5 Ventures and Anshe Chung.

Social video player provider Videoo raised $1.625 million in seed funding from Aggressive Growth Partners, other prominent funds and angel investors in the US and Brazil. 

Private music messaging Musicyou raised €300,000 in seed funding from Smart Equity and Brains2Market.

The SquareFoot, an online platform for commercial real estate, raised $2 million in seed funding in a round led by Primary Venture Partners, with participation from RRE Ventures and Triangle Peak Partners, along with unnamed angel investors.

Security software company Phantom Cyber raised $2.7 million in seed funding from Foundation Capital, Rein Capital, Zach Nelson and John W. Thompson.

PepperTap, an Indian grocery delivery startup, raised a $10 million Series A from SAIF Partners and Sequoia Capital.

Muzzy Lane Software, which creates and deploys 3D educational games, received $450,000 from the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation.

Hotel search engine Commeasure raised a seed funding round of $1 million led by Jungle Ventures.

Wingz, an airport ridesharing startup, raised a $2 million round led by Florence Venture Partners, Binux Capital, Blue Angel Ventures, and Larry Marcus/

Indian services marketplace UrbanClap raised $1.6 million in funding from Flipkart backer Accel Partners, SAIF Partners, and Snapdeal founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal.

COBI, developer of a smart connected biking system, raised more than $4 million from Capnamic Ventures, Iris Capital and Creathor Venture. Private investors from COBI’s seed round of financing also participated.

Tray.io, a platform for building and sharing SaaS integrations, raised a seed round of $2.2 million led by True Ventures, with participation from Redpoint Ventures and Angelpad.

 

Early stage

Courion, a provider of intelligent identity governance and administration solutions, raised an undisclosed amount of funding from K1 Investment Management/

Snaps, a platform for connecting advertisers with consumers across messaging applications and devices, raised $6.5 million in a Series A round from a number of investors in the technology, media and entertainment industries.

LOVEThESIGN, an Italian home design e-commerce platform, raised more than $4 million in a Series A round led by United Ventures, along with “some very well known families in the Italian fashion and design industry.”

Subscription errand service Hello Alfred raised a $10.5 million Series A round led by New Enterprise Associates and Spark, with participation from Sherpa Ventures and CrunchFund.

UniKey, a developer of a smart lock, raised $10 million in a Series A round from Asset Management Ventures, AXCIT, Broadway Angels, CBRE, ff Venture Capital, Samsung, Haas Portman, Oriza Ventures and other global investors. 

Mobile wallet startup Yoyo raised a $10 million Series A round by led by Imperial Innovations, along with Taavet Hinrikus, Philip Riese, and Michael Tobin.

Baofeng Mojing, a Chinese video streaming company, raised $10 million  from Huayi Brothers, Tianyin, Aisidi, and Green Pine Capital Partners. 

Food delivery startup Take Eat Easy raised €6 million in Series A funding from Rocket Internet, DN Capital and Piton Capital.

On-demand marijuana delivery startup Eaze raised $10 million in Series A funding led by DCM Venture, with Fresh VC, 500 Startups and other strategic investors participating. 

Pocket, a platform that helps users save online content, raised $7 million from New Enterprise Associates, with participation from Axel Springer, Digital Garage, Ashton Kutcher and Sound Ventures.

iPad POS startup TouchBistro raised $6 million in a Series A round from Kensington Capital Partners, Relay Ventures, Difference Capital, and JUST EAT, among others. 

Life science data management and collaboration platform Benchling raised $5 million in a round led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Thrive Capital.

Mobile bank account app Number26 raised $10.6 million from Valar Ventures, along with Daniel S. Aegerter, Earlybird and Redalpine.

Personal finance service MoneyStream raised $3.2 million in a round led by H&R Block as well as notable angel investors, including Bruno Bowden and Kim Polese.

Brain training company Peak raised a $7 million Series A round led by Creandum, with participation from DN Capital, London Venture Partners and Qualcomm Ventures.

Online health platform meQuilibrium, raised a $9 million Series B round led by Safeguard Scientifics, with participation by Chrysalis Ventures and other investors.

CurrencyFair, a person-to-person currency exchange marketplace, raised €10 million in a round led by Octopus Investments, along with Frontline Ventures.

Attivo Networks, an advanced threat detection technology company, raised an $8 million Series A round led by Bain Capital Ventures.

Sprig, an on-demand meal service, raised $45 million in a Series B round led by Social Capital and Greylock Partners, along with Accel Partners, Battery Ventures, Pascal Levy-Garboua, 500 Startups, Ludlow Ventures, Haroon Mokhtarzada, Russ Fradin, Jim Payne, Justin Waldron, Sozo-Truebridge, Lumia Capital, IDG Ventures, CAA Ventures, Fabrice Grinda, Sam Kass, Jed York, Marc Lasry, Karen Francis, Stewart Butterfield,Brian Spaly, Mark Ayzenshtat, Bryan Goldberg and Amitt Mahajan.

Planet Labs, a space and analytics company that has designed its own fleet of satellites, raised $23 million from the International Finance Corporation.

Venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates closed its fifteenth fund with $2.8 billion in committed capital to its core fund, along with an additional $350 million for its NEA 15 Opportunity Fund.

Acorns, a micro-investing mobile platform, raised $23 million in Series C funding in a round co-led by Greycroft Partners and e.ventures, with participation from Sound Ventures,Garland Capital, and MATH Venture Partners.

Skyport Systems, the developer of Hyper-Secured Infrastructure, raised a $30 million Series B round led by Index Ventures, with participation from Intel Capital and Sutter Hill Ventures.

99designs, a marketplace for graphic design, raised $10 million in a Series B round led by Recruit Strategic Partners, along with Accel.

Cloud access security broker Adallom raised $30 million from Hewlett Packard Ventures, Rembrandt Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital and Index Ventures.

PrimeRevenue, an SaaS-based working capital finance solution, raised $80 million a round co-led by BBH Capital Partners and Battery Ventures.

RetailNext, a provider of applied Big Data for physical retail, raised $125 million led by Activant Capital, along with August Capital, StarVest Partners, Nokia Growth Partners, Commerce Ventures, American Express, Pereg Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures and Siguler Guff & Company.

Personal transportation mobility company  Ninebot raised $80 million in funding from investors including Xiaomi, Sequoia Capital, and Shunwei Foundation.

Online financial services platform Policybazaar raised around $40 million in Series D round from Premji Invest with participation from Tiger Global, Ribbit Capital, Steadview Capital and ABG Capital.

NSS Labs, an information security research and advisory company, raised $7 million from LiveOak Venture Partners and Chevron Technology Ventures. 

Solar design and permitting company GreenLancer raised $5 million from a syndicate of new and existing investors.

Tonara, an nteractive sheet music app, raised $5 million from Baidu and Carmel Ventures. Lool Ventures also participated.

Grofers, an Indian on-demand delivery service, raised $35 million from Sequoia Capital and Tiger Global.

EarlySense, a contact-free monitoring solution, raised $25 million from Mitsui, Samsung, Pitango Venture Capital, Welch Allyn, JK&B, Proseed and Noaber

Duo Security, a cloud-based access security provider, raised $30 million in a Series C round led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Benchmark, Google Ventures, Radar Partners and True Ventures

Movidius, a vision processor company, raised $40 million in a round led by Summit Bridge Capital, along with ARCH Venture Partners, Sunny Optical Technology Group, Atlantic Bridge Capital, AIB Seed Capital Fund, Capital-E, DFJ Esprit and Robert Bosch Venture Capital. 

Security startup Illumio raised a $100 million Series C round from BlackRock Funds, Accel Partners, Formation 8, Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, John W. Thompson, Marc Benioff and Jerry Yang.  

Stem, a provider of intelligent energy storage, raised a $12 million Series C round from Mitsui.

CrossChx, a global patient identification solution, raised $15 million in Series B funding led by Khosla Ventures and Drive Capital. 

Cradlepoint, a provider of 4G LTE networking solutions, raised a $48 million Series B round led by Sorenson Capital, with participation from Delta-v Capital and The CAPROCK Group.

Workplace collaboration tool Slack raised a $160 million round from Horizons Ventures, Digital Sky Technologies (DST Global), Index Ventures, Spark Capital Growth, Institutional Venture Partners, Accel Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, The Social+Capital Partnership, Google Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

On-demand cab service giant Ola raised a $400 million Series E funding round led by DST Global, along with GIC, Falcon Edge Capital, SoftBank Group, Tiger Global, Steadview Capital and Accel Partners.

Mobile shopping app Spring raised $25 million in a Series B round led by Box Group, with participation by Yuri Millner, Groupe Arnault, Google Ventures, and Thrive Capital.

Pepperdata, a provider of Hadoop cluster optimization software, raised more than $15 million in a round led by Wing Venture Capital, wth Signia Venture Partners, Maynard Webb, Citi Ventures and Silicon Valley Data Capital.

Vlocity, a cloud software company, raised $42.8 million in a round led by Salesforce Ventures, with Accenture also participating. 

Cloud-services provider Appirio raised $35 million in funding led by Fidelity Management & Research Company.

Peloton, a stationary bike startup with a built-in tablet for live streaming cycling classes, raised $30 million in Series C funding led by Tiger Global Management, along with True Ventures.

The Flatiron School, which teaches web and mobile software development, raised $9 million in a round led by Thrive Capital, with participation from CRV and Matrix.

Subcription video platform Vessel raised $58 million in a round led by Institutional Venture Partners, along with Benchmark, Greylock Partners, and Bezos Expeditions.
