At our inaugural SplashX event last July 28, 2016, VC Panel Anand Kulkarni, Founder, President, & Chief Scientist of LeadGenius, which just raised $10 million in a new round of financing, bringing its total funds raised to $20 million. Lead Genius is a fast-growing Berkeley-based startup that's using a combination of human researchers and automated data collection to help salespeople find the relevant decision makers within companies. LeadGenius talks about how to land financing in this environment, and how to have a social impact.
SplashX is a short-and-sweet, three-hour evening program with two Keynote Splash Talks given by entrepreneurs from a particular area, in this case - the East Bay, as well as a panel of local VCs talking about the funding environment. Splash Talks are 20-minute TED-like talks about building, scaling and fundraising. TED Talks are "ideas worth spreading" whereas Splash Talks are "lessons worth learning.
