Seed stage

Mobilize, a cloud-based community management solution startup, raised $1.2M in seed funding in a round led by Hillsven Capital, with participation from UpWest Labs and Eddy Shalev.

Geenapp, asocial-powered mobile app discovery platform, raised $250,000, with investors including Wayra and angels.

Rete+Pay, a provider of payment software solutions, raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Ticonderoga Capital and Asim Ashary.

Riskmethods, a provider of risk analysis of worldwide supply chains, raised a $2 million round led by Senovo, along with Bayern Kapital and Point Nine Capital.

Software analytics platform bitHound raised a $2 million in seed-stage round led by Michael Wekerle, along with BDC Capital and a number of angel investors.

Real-time video sharing startup Grabyo raised $2 million from Cesc Fabregas, Robin Van Persie, Thierry Henry and Tony Parker.

Feastly, a marketplace for cooks to connect with adventurous eaters, raised $1.25 million in seed funding from The Westly GroupandSteve Westly.

Fluc, a food-delivery service, raised $2.3 million in seed funding from Sherpa Ventures, WI Harper, Charlie Cheever, Blake Ross, Zhou Hongyi, and other angels.

Scrollback, an open-source chat platform for online communities, raised a $400,000 round led by Jungle Ventures, with participation from Singapore’s National Research Foundation, Crystal Horse Investments, Singapore Angel Network, Roland Turner, and other angel investors.

Applause, an app focused on helping people lose weight, raised $765,000 in a seed funding round led by Marc Benioff.

Smart photo app Bundle raised $300,000 in a seed funding round from Startupbootcamp and angel investors.

Gimmie, a mobile rewards startup, raised a seed funding round of $700,000 from IdeaRiverRun.

Early stage

Tiger Pistol, a social media marketing platform for small and medium businesses, raised $3.1 million led by Melbourne IT, with participation from individual investors including Sherman Ma.

 Appear Here, an online marketplace for short-term retail space, raised $7.5 million in a round led by Balderton Capital.  

Mobile game developer Inzen raised a $748,000 Series A round led by Japan’s Incubate Fund, with participation from Hatcher, Hans De Back Global Mobile Game Confederation and Melvin Tan.

Wearable technology creator muzik raised over $10 million in funding from undisclosed investors. 

Roomer, an online marketplace for hotel reservations raised $5 million in Series A funding led by Disruptive, with participation from other investors that included BRM Group. 

Everything But The House, an online estate sale company, raised a $13 million Series A round of funding from Spark Capital and Greycroft Partners, with participation from individual investors. 

PocketMath, a self-serve mobile advertising platform, raised a $10 million funding round from Rakuten Ventures. 

Marketplace app Carousell raised $6 million in Series A funding led by Sequoia Capital. Rakuten Ventures, Golden Gate Ventures, 500 Startups, and Darius Cheung also participated.

Scripted.com, a provider of written content on demand, raised a $9 million Series B round led by Storm Ventures, with  Scripted investors, Crosslink Capital and Redpoint Ventures also participating.

Accounting SaaS Japan, a provider of cloud-based software for certified public accountants, raised $8.5 million from Fidelity Growth Partners Japan, Arbor Ventures, and iMercury Capital  and Mobile Internet Capital.

Narrative Science, a provider of automated narrative generation for the enterprise, raised $10 million round led by a USAA subsidiary, with Sapphire Ventures, Jump Capital and Battery Ventures also participating. 

AppInTop, a mobile marketing platform for apps, raised $6 million in funding from Run Capital.

Driving safety monitoring app ZenDrive raised an undisclosed amount of funding from BMW i Ventures, Bill Ford’s VC firm Fontinalis Partners, Expansion VC and First Round Capital.

Late stage

Anonymous social messaging app Yik Yak raised a $62 million round led by Seqouia Capital, along with existing investors participating. 

Freelance worker platform Elance-oDesk raised $30 million in a round led by Benchmark, with participation from T. Rowe Price, FirstMark, Sigma West, NEA and the Stripes Group.

Jumia, an African e-commerce company raised €120 million ($150 million) from undisclosed investors. 

SimilarWeb, a digital insight and measurement company, raised a Series D round of $15 million co-led by Naspers and Lord David Alliance.

Host Analytics, a cloud-based enterprise performance management, raised $25 million led by Centerview Capital Technology with participation from Advanced Technology Ventures, Next World Capital, StarVest Partners, and Trident Capital.

VigLink, provider of automated monetization technology for publishers, raised $20 million from Foundry Group and Costanoa Venture Capital.

YPlan, an event planning app, raised $24 million in Series B funding from Octopus Investments, General Catalyst Partners and Wellington Partners.

PropTiger, an online real estate marketing platform in India, raised $37 million from News Corp, SAIF Partners, Accel Partners and Horizen Ventures.

Hearing solutions provider iHear Medical raised $5 million from Brother Industries and Ameritas Holding Company.

Woowa Brothers, the company behind Korean food delivery app Baedal Minjok, raised a $36 million round led by Goldman Sachs. 

Artificial intelligence company Sentient Technologies raised $103.5 million in Series C funding led by ccess Industries, along with Tata Communications Limited, Horizons Ventures and a group of private investors.
