- The City of St. Charles announced a partnership with The 10-78 Project that helps provide mental health resources to police officers. The project, which gets its name from the police code for an officer in need of aid, provides support within 24 to 48 hours

- Dr. Marty Makary resigned as commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration Tuesday, ending a 13-month tenure. The president posted that the acting head of the agency would be Kyle Diamantas, who had been deputy commissioner for food
- U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon announced a new $144 million investment by the Trump Administration to help states expand proven interventions that support students with disabilities. These funds will be awarded this year for state and local agencies to use for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act programs. In addition, McMahon also announced new guidance for states to use IDEA funds to help expectant parents of infants with disabilities access information and tools to prepare for their child’s arrival, and secure needed supports and services after birth

- Yogendra Upadhyaya, an Indian politician, and higher education minister of Uttar Pradesh, triggered controversy by describing two popular English nursery rhymes – ‘Johnny Johnny, Yes Papa’ and ‘Rain Rain Go Away’ – as being against Indian culture and values, saying that it teaches children to lie and promotes selfishness. “Self-interest is promoted in the poem, ‘Rain rain go away, come again another day, Little Johnny wants to play’. It says that rain should stop only because Johnny wants to play. What kind of values are these? An act yields joy only when it is performed selflessly, transcending self-interest. But this poem signifies ‘Swantah Sukhay’ (self-satisfaction) which is not our culture,” Upadhyaya said
