AI Outtakes
- After a Toronto man decided to sell back his used car to the same dealership from which he bought it, he got a text from Quinn at BMW Toronto, offering him over $27,000. He was then contacted by a sales consultant who revoked the offer, explaining that Quinn was an AI chatbot, and had made the offer by mistake; they instead offered him $20,000. The seller was never informed that he was talking to a chatbot, which had even set up a physical meeting so that he could sign off on the deal to sell his car back to the dealership. After CBC News reached out to BMW Toronto, it reinstated the original offer
