Beacon transmitter company Ifinity raised an undisclosed amount of seed fundinf from SpeedUp Venture Capital Group.
Vadio, a distribution platform for music video content and online ads, raised $2 million in seed funding from Ed Wilson, Robin Richards, Marc Geiger, Irwin Federman, Mucker Capital and Amplify.LA.
Virtual infrastructure management company StrataCloud raised $2 million from Hallett Capital and BLH Venture Partners.
Digital textbook rental service Packback raised $1 million from Mark Cuban, along with Howard Tullman, Mark Achler, Mark Tebbe, Rishi Shah, and several other angel investors.
Education software provider FreshGrade raised $4.3 million in seed funding from NewSchools Venture Fund, Emerson Collective, Accel Partners and Social Capital.
Bearch, the company behind anonymous photo-sharing app Unseen, raised $2.1 million in seed funding from Dirk Elmendorf, Rony Kahan, Doss Cunningham, and several other angel investors.
OKpanda, a language learning app that helps those living in Asia learn, raised a $1.6 million seed funding round led by Resolute Ventures, woith East Ventures, Beenos, Innovation Endeavors, Kapor Capital, 500 Startups and angels including Matthew Romaine and Jonathan Swanson also participating.

Personality mining platform Traitify raised $4 million in a Series A funding from Heritage Capital, Charles Morris, Thomas Hitchner and other individual investors.
AuditFile, which helps CPA firms run more efficient audits, raised $3 million in a round led by Banneker Ventures, along with Tim Draper, Nas, Rothenberg Ventures, and Ray Tonsing.
Greenhouse, a provider of recruiting performance improvement systems, raised a $7.5 million series A led by Social+Capital Partnership.
Ad management platform AdStage raised $6.25 million in Series A funding from Verizon Ventures, Digital Garage, Newbury Ventures, Freestyle Capital, Chris Noble and Neal Dempsey.
Zubie, a connected car company, raised $8 million in a round led by NGP and Magna International, with Castrol innoVentures, Comporium and OpenAir Equity Partners also participating.
CyberLightning, a big data platform provider, raised $4.2 million from Inventure, TEKES, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation, and EU-sponsored funds.

Bizzabo, a networking platform and event app, raised $2.5 million in funding from Kaedan Capital, AfterDox, OurCrowd and Massa Group.
Predictive analytics platform EverString raised $12 million in Series A funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Sequoia Capital and IDG Ventures.
Selection management platform Hireology raised a $10 million round of Series B funding from Bain Capital Ventures.
Acupera, a provider of population health and workflow technology for health systems, raised $4 million from Lightspeed Venture Partners and The Whittemore Collection.
RadPad, a mobile rental marketplace, raised $2 million led by SG VC with participation from Social Leverage, Michael Huffington, Queensbridge Venture Partners and Happy Walters.
TelePharm, a digital healthcare company, raised a $2.5 million Series A funding round led by John Pappajohn and Bruce Rastetter.
GoGoVan, which connects van drivers and users for on-demand delivery services, raised a $6.5 million Series A led by Centurion Private Equity.
DataRobot, a cloud service for comparing algorithms for building predictive models, raised $21 million led by New Enterprise Associates, with tlas Venture, IA Ventures, and New York Life Insurance Co. also contributing.

Online news aggregator and media website BuzzFeed raised $50 million in funding from Andreessen Horowitz.
Online takeout ordering platform FoodPanda raised $60 million from existing investors, including Falcon Edge Capital and Rocket Internet AG.
Mobile security company Lookout raised a $150 million round led by investment funds managed by T. Rowe Price Associates, and includes participation from Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Wellington Management Company, Goldman Sachs, Bezos Expeditions, Mithril Capital Management, Khosla Ventures, Accel Partners, Index Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz.
Axial, a network for professionals who run private companies, raised $11 million in a Series B funding led by Comcast Ventures, along with Redpoint Ventures and First Round. Select Axial members also joined the new round, including Thomas W. Courtney, Jr.
Windsor Circle, a customer retention software company, raised $5.25 million in Series B financing led by Comcast Ventures, with IDEA Fund Partners, Triangle Angel Partners and Steve Case also participating.
ATHOS, which offers a wearable technology that is fully integrated in workout clothing, raised $12.2 million in a Series B round led by DCM, with participation from True Ventures, Joe Lacob, Jermaine O’Neal and The Social+Capital Partnership.
Electric Imp, a platform for connecting devices to the Internet, raised $15 million in Series B funding from Foxconn Technology Group, PTI Ventures, Rampart Capital, Redpoint Ventures and Hugo Fiennes.
Peer-to-peer car rental service RelayRides raised $10 million from Canaan Partners, August Capital, Google Ventures and Shasta Ventures.
Online-education startup Desire2Learn raised $85 million from existing investors, including NEA, as well as new investors, including Columbus Nova Technology Partners, Graham Holdings, Four Rivers Group and Aurion Capital.

360fly, a single-lens camera and software platform that captures stitch-less 360-degree video, raised a $17.8 million Series B financing round led by Catterton, with Qualcomm Ventures, Voxx International, and Steve Altman.
