Seed stage

Location-based messaging platform Drop Messages raised a $1.25 million seed round led by Atlas Ventures and Spark Capital.

Smart refrigerator maker Pantry raised $1.3 million in funding from 500 Startups, Menlo Ventures, Arsenal Venture Partners, Loic Le Meur, Nir Eyal, Georges Harik, Entry Capital, and Lemnos Labs.

Poshly, a data company focused on the beauty industry, raised a $1.5 million seed round led by Frontier Equities VC, along with Astia Angels, CPEG Ventures, WI Harper Group, and other private investors.

WikiWand, an interface to give Wikipedia an updated look, raised $600,000 from angel investor Saar Wilf.

Two Tap, a universal Internet shopping cart, raised a $2.7 million seed round from Khosla Ventures, SV Angel, Joseph Saunders, Ryan Petersen, Alexis Ohanian, Gary Tan, We Funder, Transmedia Capital and Digital Garage.

Seed&Spark, a crowdfunding and digital distribution platform for independent films, raised $1 million in seed funding led by Manitou Ventures, with participation from Abigail Disney, Lisa Kleiner-Chanoff, Matthew Mills, Vijay Pandurangan and Deborah Meijer, among others.

Vectra Networks, a company that detects cyber attacks in real-time, today raised $25 million led by Accel Partners, with Khosla Ventures, IA Ventures and AME Cloud Ventures participating.

 

Early stage

Doctor on Demand a healthcare service that provides video visits with physicians on a patient's smartphone, raised a $21 million round led by Venrock and joined by Shasta Ventures and Richard Branson.

Customer retention platform Retention Science raised $7 million in Series A funding round led by Upfront Ventures, with participation from Baroda Ventures, Forerunner Ventures and Mohr Davidow Ventures.

Openfolio, which brings the principles and power of social networks to the world of personal investing, raised $1.3 million in a round led by FinTech Collective.

Online payment service Vogogo raised $8.5 million led by Cormark Securities, along with Salman Partners,, Clarus Securities, Beacon Securities Limited and Canaccord Genuity Corp.

Social Tables, which brings sales and operations tools to hospitality professionals, raised $8 million in Series A funding to be led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with Thayer Ventures, Militello Capital, 500 Startups, Middleland Capital, and Fortify Ventures.

Vidmind, which enables new virtual TV operators to launch a full blown OTT Pay TV service, raised $30 million from Trellas,

Rapt Media, a provider of tools to create interactive vvideos, raised $3.1 million in a round led by Boulder Ventures

Crowdsourced mobile signal mapper OpenSignal raised $4 million Series A funding round, led by Qualcomm Ventures, with O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures and Passion Capital also participating.

Thai ecommerce platform WearYouWant raised over $1.5 million in Series A funding led by Digital Media Partners, with participation from OPT SEA, IMJ Investment Partners and Julien Chalte.

Vurb, which intelligently organizes and connect all services together on the Web, raised $8 million in Series A funding led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Stanford University alongside many of its seed investors.

Data intelligence company Adatao raised $13 million led by Andreessen Horowitz, with Lightspeed Venture Partners and Bloomberg Beta also participating. 

Metanautix, a big data analytics company, raised $7 million in Series A funding from Sequoia Capital. The Stanford University endowment fund and Shiva Shivakumar also participated. 

Transatomic Power, a nuclear reactor design company, raised $2 million in funding from FF Science.

Casper, developer and seller of a new type of mattress, raised $13.1 million in Series A funding led by New Enterprise Associates, with SV Angel, A-Grade Investments, Slow Ventures, Brand Capital, Silas Capital, Cendana Capital, Steven Alan, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, Crosslink Capital, Vaizra Investments, Queensbridge Ventures, and Correlation Ventures, also participating. 

MagForce AG, a medical device company in the field of nanomedicine focused on oncology, raised $15 million led by Mithril Capital.

 

Late stage

InVision, a cloud collaboration and workflow platform for the product design process, raised a $21 million Series B round of funding led by Tiger Global Management, along with FirstMark Capital and other current investors.

Druva, developer of inSync endpoint data protection and governance solution, raised $25 million in Series D funding from Sequoia Capital, Nexus Venture Partners and Tenaya Capital.

Spoqa, the mobile loyalty platform behind Dodo, raised $3.9 million in funding led by Daesung Private Equity group and Bokwang Investments.

Felicis Ventures, a boutique venture capital firm, raised $96 million for its fourth fund, its largest to-date.

Electroning voting platform Scytl raised an $44 million investment from Vy Capital, Adams Street Partners and Industry Ventures.

Bitglass, a provider of data protection for the enterprise, raised $25 million from a large global bank and SingTel Innov8, NEA and Norwest.

Global mobile RTB ad exchange Smaato, raised $25 million from Singapore Press Holdings, along with Aeris CAPITAL, EDBI and other existing shareholders.

Mobile commerce platform Movile raised $55 million in a round led by Innova Capital, with Naspers participating. 

Life360, a mobile application that connects family members and close friends, raised $50 million led by ADT, with AngelList and Expansion VC. 

Telecom company PLDT invested €333 million ($445 million) for a 10% stake in e-commerce focused venture capital firm and startup incubator Rocket Internet,

Digital Guardian, a provider of data loss prevention software, raised from undisclosed investors.  

SmartZip Analytics, a predictive marketing technology company, raised $12 ,million in a Series B funding round led by Crest Capital Ventures, with participation from Claremont Creek Ventures and Intel Capital.

Japanese news reading app SmartNews raised $36 million in funding from Atomico and GREE.
