Bitium, a tool that helps companies manage web-based apps, raised $2.4 million in a seed round of financing from Resolute VC and well-known angels, including Michael Lazerow, Rob Glaser, Alex Bard, Hiten Shah and Sean Ellis, and some Southern California funds, Double M Partners, Social Leverage and Karlin Ventures.
Tastebuds, the social service that helps you meet new people through music, closed a $600,00 seed investment from the technology group Black Ocean.
Augmented reality website Augment raised a €220k ($289,000) funding round from a group of Paris-based angel investors: Tristan Vyskoc, Laurent Therezien, Olivier Mathiot and Nicolas Vauvilliez.
BodeTree, an online service that helps small business owners better understand their finances, raised $1.4 million in seed funding from Greenline Ventures.
Developer outfit Nitrous.io raised $1 million in a seed funding from Bessemer Venture Partners. Draper Associates, CrunchFund, 500 Startups, TIBCO Software, Eduardo Saverin, Golden Gate Ventures, and Prosper Nwankpa also participated.
Community-driven shopping site The Hunt raised $700,000 in funding, from Ashton Kutcher, A-Grade Investments,Rohan Oza, Anjula Acharia Bath, and Michael Banks.
Finnish e-commcer startup Nosto closed a $2.8 million seed round, including debt and grants, with backing from Open Ocean Capital, SanomaVentures and a number of undisclosed angel investors.
Fusebill, a provider subscription billing and payment solutions, raised a $2 million round led by OMERS Ventures. Covington Capital also participated in the investment.
Offline medium e-commerce platform BuyReply raised $1 million in seed funding, from Peter Thiel’s international fund Valar Ventures, along with Square Peg Ventures, Adrian MacKenzie, and others.
Teddle, a UK-based home cleaner service, has closed a £255,000 ($391,000) funding round from a group of angel investors, including David Pritchard, Chris Ash, Jonathan Quinn, Ray Kelly, Sarah du Heaume, Chris Mairs, and Neil Davidson.

Online education company LearnZillion raised $7 million of Series A funding in a round led by DCM and joined by O’Reilly Alpha Tech Ventures, NewSchools Venture Fund, Calvert Social Investment Fund, and D.C. Community Ventures.
Free streaming music service Songza raised $3.8 million in financing from undisclosed investors.
Zonoff, which connects Internet of Things devices onto a single platform, raised a $3.8 million Series A round led by Valhalla Partners and Grotech Ventures.
Crowdfunding company Crowdtilt raised a $12 million Series A round of funding led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Sean Parker, SV Angel, DCM, CrunchFund, Alexis Ohanian, Elad Gil, Naval Ravikant, Sam Altman, Matt Mullenweg, Dave Morin and Justin Kan.
GoCardless, a payments startup based in the U.K., raised a $3.3 million Series A round of funding, led by existing investors Accel Partners and Passion Capital.
Chinese smartphone game publisher Yodo1 raised $5 million in a Series A round led by SingTel Innov8, with additional funding from existing investor Chang You Fund.
Virtual fitting room provider Fits.me raised £5 million ($7.6 million) in Series A funding from from existing investor SmartCap and new investors Conor Venture Partners, Fostergate Holdings Limited and The Entrepreneur’s Fund.
Brandcast, which helps companies establish a consistent cross-channel Web presence, raised $1.8 million in Series A funding from Salesforce.com chairman and CEO Marc Benioff.
Bitbar, the startup behind cloud-based Android testing solution Testdroid, closed a $3 million financing round led by Creathor Venture, DFJ Esprit, Finnvera Venture Capital and Qualcomm, with additional funding from TEKES financing.
Peer-to-peer airport car rental startup FlightCar raised $5.5 million in Series A funding from General Catalyst, Softbank Capital, Airbnb founder and CEO Brian Chesky, as well as Ryan Seacrest’s Seacrest Global Group.
Cloud and mobility security platform for the enterprise Ionic Security raised a $9.4 million Series A round led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, joined by TechOperators and existing investors such as Ken Levine and Paul Judge.
Late-stage
The RealReal, a resale site for luxury fashion, raised a $14 million Series B round led by InterWest Partners, with participation from Canaan Partners, e.ventures and Greycroft Partners. The company also received strategic investments from Novel TMT Ventures, Panarea Capital, Suzy Welch, and Sukhinder Singh Cassidy.
Kaazing, a company focused on enabling the living web, raised $15 million in a round led by new investors New Enterprise Associates and Columbus Nova Technology Partners, along with existing investors.
Supercell, a Finland-based gaming company, raised a $130 million round of funding co-led by Institutional Venture Partners and Index Ventures. Also joining the round was Atomico Ventures.
Instart Logic, provider of a cloud-based service for web publishers, raised a $17 million Series B funding round from Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures and Tenaya Capital.
Social media marketing company SocialFlow raised a $10 million Series B round led by Fairhaven Capital. Also participating were SoftBank Capital, RRE Ventures, AOL Ventures, Betaworks, kbs+ Ventures and Rand Capital Corporation.
Service management platform Booker secured $27.5 million in Series B financing led by Bain Capital Ventures. Booker's Series A investors, Revolution Ventures, Grotech Ventures, TDF Ventures, and Vital Financial, also participated.
Sensor technology Enlighted raised $20 million in Series C financing led by RockPort Capital, along with DFJ JAIC, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and Intel Capital.
