Citrix Online is going to acquire Netviewer, a SaaS vendor based in Germany. Netviewer is going to be integrated into the online services division of Citrix. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Opera, a web-browser,  announced that in the first day alone, there were 6.7 million downloads of the new browser.

OneTrueFan has launched, the site, which hopes to be a check in style service, complete with badges for web publishers, will integrate with other social networks.

Facebook’s created a new registration widget for third party sites. The tool is being billed as an alternative to Facebook Connect, and oddly enough, is marketed to users without Facebook accounts.

Foodspotting, a food picture sharing service, has acquired Eat.ly. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Disqus is releasing a new commenters dashboard for its users. The dashboard will allow users of the service to follow other commenter’s.

Tribune has acquired CastTV, a video search engine. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Yahoo will shut down the following services: Delicious, Altavista, MyBlogLog, Yahoo! Bookmarks, and Yahoo! Picks. No word yet on when the services will shut down.

Groupon is looking to raise “several hundred million dollars” in funds. If they succeed it will put the companies valuation just shy of $6 billion.
