Biobeat collects data through 13 health parameters, including blood pressure and pulse rate

Best Buy Health has been making moves in the at-home care space since it bought Current Health, a platform that combines remote patient monitoring, telehealth, and patient engagement, back in 2021.

Now patients will have another option for what kind of wearable they want to use, as the company announced a partnership with Biobeat, a provider of wearable remote patient monitoring (RPM) solutions, on Monday.

Through this collaboration, Biobeat's monitors will be featured as one of the technology solutions for healthcare organizations that use Current Health.

Founded in 2016, the Petah Tikva, Israel-based Biobeat's solution uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide actionable insights on patient care. Its products include wrist and chest monitors.

Biobeat analyzes the data it generates through its sensors for continuous monitoring of vital signs. That includes 13 health parameters, such as cuffless blood pressure, pulse rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen saturation, stroke volume, cardiac output, and one lead ECG; Biobeat's wearable devices are the first devices to be FDA-Cleared for cuffless non-invasive PPG-based blood pressure monitoring/

"Current Health enables healthcare organizations to personalize the delivery of healthcare at home solutions, and we are thrilled that Biobeat's wearables will be integrated as a technology solution that is available for remote patient monitoring," Arik Ben Ishay, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Biobeat, said in a statement.

"This milestone will further strengthen Biobeat's footprint with healthcare providers throughout the United States and will provide clinicians with the ability to monitor patient vital signs of patients outside of the clinical care setting."

Best Buy Health has been making a number of partnerships in the at-home care space: this year alone the company has expanded its partnership with Geisinger, where the two companies deploy specially trained Geek Squad Agents to deliver, install and activate remote care management devices; entered into a new one with Atrium Health, a nonprofit health system that is part of Advocate Health, the fifth-largest nonprofit health system in the United States; and, most recently, partnered with Mass General Brigham to scale and support MGB’s Home Hospital service.

The company has also been working with ŌURA, the company behind the Oura Ring, a device that gives users personalized health data, insights, and daily guidance, announcing its partnership with Best Buy for its first nationwide retail expansion in April, before expanding to Canada in October.
