Over $200 million for over 20 companies, early-stage to late-stage

Early-stage

Cloud-based PHP solutions provider AppFog raised an $8 million Series B round led by Ignition Partners, with help from Simon Crosby and Matt Ocko, as well as existing investors Madrona Venture Group, First Round Capital, and Founders Co-Op.

Apprenda, the deploy anywhere Platform as a Service (PaaS) stack for .NET, closed a $10 million Series B round of funding led by Ignition Partners with participation from previous investors.

BankSimple secured $10 million in additional financing led by current investor IA Ventures and joined by existing investors and Shasta Ventures.

BigTime Software, Inc., provider of cloud-based productivity tools for growing professional services firms, raised $2 million in Series A equity financing from LTC Partners, Geneva Venture Investment Management and others.

BrightTag, a marketing solutions provider for eCommerce and retail companies, raised $5 million led by New World Ventures, with help from existing investors Tomorrow Ventures, EPIC Ventures, and I2A Ventures.

 

 

Elevator Labs, a new invention company, secured $20 million in initial funding from KGC Capital.

 

 

Go Try It On, a mobile app and Web service that allows women to snap a picture of an ensemble they’re considering, raised a $3 million Series A round of funding led by investors Len Blavatnik and Alex Zubillaga.

HotLink, emerging from stealth to revolutionize system management of heterogeneous computing, secured $10 million in Series A financing led by Foundation Capital with participation from Leapfrog Ventures.

iStoryTime, the largest library of mobile children's book Apps, secured a $2 million Series A investment.

Lumenpulse, a company that manufactures LED lights for commercial buildings and urban environments, secured a $16 million Series A round led by private investors, with participation from Lumenpulse’s management team and board of directors.

Mobile gaming studio Mobjoy has raised $1.3 million in equity financing, according to an SEC filing.

Movieclips, the Pandora for short-form movie clips, raised a $7 million Series B round led by MK Capital, with help from many others.

Nanigans, a real-time bidding platform for Facebook that optimizes advertiser spend for downstream actions and lifetime customer value, closed $3 million in Series A financing.

oktaOkta, provider of on-demand identity & access management for cloud/SaaS applications, raised $16.5 million in Series B funding from Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz and FLOODGATE.

 

On the heels of its $1 million seed round, mobile Q&A app Opinionaided raised a $4.3 million Series A round led by SoftBank Capital and BlueRun Ventures, with help from all seed investors.

SinglePlatform, simplifying digital communications for local businesses, raised $3.25 million in funding led by DFJ Gotham Ventures with new and old investors.

 

Late-stage

Airband Communications, provider of fixed-wireless voice and data services to businesses in the U.S., signed an agreement with ABRY Partners, LLC, to provide $20 million of financing to further accelerate Airband’s growth both organically and through mergers and acquisitions.

Couchbase, a NoSQL database company, secured $14 million in a Series C round of financing led by venture capital firm Ignition Partners.

Rocket Lawyer, an online legal document service, raised $18.5 million in growth funding led by August Capital with participation from Google Ventures and Investor Growth Capital (IGC).

SmartDrive Systems, provider of fleet management and driver safety solutions, has secured $10.1 million of a planned $11.5 million round.

 

Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers has led a $26 million round of funding in the Turkish fashion eCommerce startup Trendyol.com. Existing investor Tiger Global also participated in the round.
