Penta raised €7M; Flutterwave raised $10M, Kepler raised $21M, Netlify raised $30M

Penta: Penta offers a digital bank account targeting startups and SMEs. The offering is designed to meet all of the banking needs of small to medium-sized businesses, including startups. Penta has raised €7 million in Series A funding from Inception Capital. Read more

Kepler Communications: Kepler is a satellite communications company that is working towards establishing an in-space telecommunications network for space-borne assets. Put simply, we are building cell phone towers in space. Kepler has raised $16 million in Series A funding led by Costanoa Ventures, with participation by Deutsche Bahn’s Digital Ventures. The company has now raised $21 million altogether. Read more
 

Netlify: Netlify is a Platform as a Service that builds, deploys, and hosts static websites and apps. Netlify is a unified platform that automates your code to create high-performant, easily-maintainable sites and web-apps. Netlify has raised $30 million Series B funding. Kleiner Perkins led the round, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz and numerous individual investors. Read more

Flutterwave: Flutterwave provides a payment service for global merchants, payment service providers and pan african banks. Flutterwave has raised has raised $10 million which was led by leading Silicon Valley venture capital funds Greycroft and Green Visor Capital. Read more

Garrison Technology: Garrison develops technologies for enterprise cybersecurity needs. The company was incorporated in 2014 and is based in London. It aims to serve the growing enterprise market with its anti-malware product. Garrison has raised $30 million in fresh funding. Dawn Capital led the round; Garrison has now raised more than $50 million altogether. Read more

TravelPerk: TravelPerk is revolutionizing the way that organizations budget, book and manage their business travel. TravelPerk has raised $44 million in Series C funding, including from Sweden’s Kinnevik; Russian billionaire and DST Global founder Yuri Milner; and Tom Stafford, also of DST. Read more
 
Cloud9Cloud9 is a professional multi-game esports organization that is based in the Los Angeles, California area. Cloud9 has raised $50 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Valor Equity Partners; other investors include TrueBridge Capital Partners, Reimagined Ventures and Glassdoor founder Robert Hohman. Read more
