Google Android has taken the lead among smartphone platforms with 31.2 percent market share, after two short months in second place, according to comScore.

 

Anjuke, a Chinese real estate marketplace, completed a new round of financing of $50 million led by Baida, China's largest Internet search provider.

 

Beyond Oblivion, a digital music marketplace with grandiose ambitions to disrupt the music industry, has secured a $77 million investment round led by News Corp.

Pixazza, the innovative advertising company that uses images already on the Web to bring attention to brands, now reaches more than 70 million unique visitors each month, representing an increase of 80% in the last five months. 

Qriously, a service for measuring location-based public sentiment in real-time, raised a $1.6 million funding round led by Accel Partners, with participation from Amalfi Capital.

 

Music subscription service Rdio released a new native Mac client, so users can listen to Rdio tunes on their computer without firing up the browser. Windows users, your version is “coming soon.”

Ustream for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch has been updated to let users both stream and broadcast live video from the same app.
