XpertDox uses artificial intelligence to automate medical coding: its autonomous medical coding engine, XpertCoding, uses AI, natural language processing, and advanced big data analytics to code medical claims with greater accuracy and speed.
On Thursday the company announced a new client, Nao Medical, a New York-based healthcare provider, which will be integrating XpertDox's AI medical coding software and XpertCoding Business Intelligence (BI) Platform in order to improve clinical documentation and revenue cycle management (RCM) workflows.
Founded in 2015, the Scottsdale, Arizona-based XpertDox's BI platform offers analytics and insights to improve revenue cycle and operational efficiency. It also includes real-time monitoring of coding accuracy and revenue performance, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) feedback, and proactive alerts for CPT code and fee schedule utilization.
XpertCoding is able to identify one to two missing CPT codes per claim, as well as coding errors in three out of four claims, cutting coding expenses by eliminating 90% of manual coding and billing tasks. It's also able to decrease denials due to coding errors to under 1%.
Meanwhile, the Queens, New York-based Nao Medical offers services for primary care, urgent care, women’s health, STD testing, nutrition counseling, corporate health & occupational medicine, and chronic diseases to over 2 million patients across multiple New York neighborhoods, including Astoria, Crown Heights, Jackson Heights, Williamsburg, and the Bronx.
Nao joins other providers using XpertDox, including Stanford Medicine, Lone Star Circle of Care, Northside Medical Professionals, and Blue Fish Pediatrics.
"With XpertCoding, we've achieved a 15% increase in charge capture, a 60% increase in quality code capture, a 40% reduction in charge entry lag, ensuring claims are processed within 24 hours, and a 22% reduction in claim denials. These advancements have strengthened our revenue cycle management and enabled us to focus on delivering exceptional care to our patients," Arihant Jain, President of Nao Medical, said in a statement.
