Talkspace will be the therapy partner for femtech brand Nurx and migraine treatment platform Cove

There's a gap when it comes to mental health care for women: while 50% of women say they needed mental health services, compared to 35% of men, only half of those women have tried and were able to get an appointment for care, while 10% tried but were unable to get an appointment, and 40% did not seek care at all.

Thirty Madison is specialty telemedicine company that operates two companies trying to close this gap: Nurx, a provider of specialty, comprehensive care in women's health, and Cove, a virtual clinic treating migraine; 60% of patients with migraine report being diagnosed with anxiety disorders, and 50% of patients with migraine report being diagnosed with depression.

Both of these companies currently offer mental health treatment focused on medication management for conditions like anxiety and depression, but patients will have access to new therapy options thanks to a partnership with telemedicine-based therapy provider Talkspace, including online therapy with a dedicated, licensed provider and its self-guided app.

Talkspace allows users to send unlimited text, video, picture and audio messages to providers, who engage with them five days a week. The company also provides psychiatry services and prescription fulfillment, adolescent therapy and couples counseling.

More than 130 million Americans have access to Talkspace through their health insurance plans, employee assistance programs, our partnerships with leading healthcare companies, or as a free benefit through their employer, school, or government agency.

Patients can use Nurx to access health needs, including birth control, PrEP, eyelash growth serum, and treatment for genital herpes, oral herpes, migraine, acne, melasma, rosacea, anti aging, women’s hair loss, mental health, UTI, yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, as well as home tests for COVID, HPV and STIs.

Patients are asked to answer a few questions about their health, and enter their health insurance info; once they submit their order and pay for the medical consultation, a member of Nurx's provider team will review their health profile and, if medically appropriate, write them a prescription or order tests. Everything is be delivered to the patients door for free in discreet packaging.

Through this partnership, Talkspace will serve as the recommended therapy partner for Nurx and Cove, connecting patients to Nurx's care options for women across reproductive and sexual health, and dermatology. Meanwhile, Talkspace patients interested in migraine care can be connected to Cove.

"Too many people experience mental health conditions and are unable to access the care they need," Caroline Hofmann, chief business officer at Thirty Madison, said in a statement.

"Since we began offering Nurx patients mental health treatment in 2022, we have seen consistently strong and increasing demand. There is a clear need for women to have more affordable options at their fingertips. Asynchronous care is effective and convenient, and we're excited to expand by partnering with Talkspace for therapy."
