BabySparks raised $2M; ProteinQure landed $4M; Ethyca secured $4.2M; Pyze closed $4.6M

BabySparks: BabySparks is building tools and programs to help parents engage their babies and toddlers in the critical areas of early development. BabySparks has raised $2 million in seed funding led by Ocean Azul Partners. Other participants in the round include Miami Angels, Kairos, Marstar Investments, and individual investors. Read more

Futr: Futr. is a British tech company using machine learning to provide access to data with natural language. Futr. has raised £2.4 million in seed funding from Praetura Ventures. Read more

ProteinQure: ProteinQure is a Toronto-based startup building a computational platform for the design of protein therapeutics. ProteinQure has raised $4 million in seed funding led by Felicis Ventures. Other participants in the round include 8VC, Golden Ventures, iNovia, Global Founders Capital and angel investor Tom Williams. Read more

Ethyca: Ethyca is a technology company that builds automated data privacy infrastructure and tools for developers and privacy teams. Ethyca has raised $4.2 million co-led by IA Ventures and Founder Collective, with additional participation from Table Management and Sinai Ventures. Read more

Pyze: Pyze helps brands and enterprises maximize user retention through AI based embeddable analytics and engagement across digital platforms. Pyze has raised $4.6 million in funding led by Illuminate Ventures, with participation from Benhamou Global Ventures and Correlation Ventures. Read more

Muzmatc: Muzmatch is a dating app for iOS and android where single Muslims meet. Muzmatch has raised $7 million in Series A  funding co-led by the hedge fund Luxor Capital and by Y Combinator, whose accelerator program Muzmatch passed through in 2017. Read more  

Minute.ly: Minute.ly’s mission is to reinvent and significantly improve the way users consume content. Minute.ly has raised $8 million in funding, including from Ansonia Holdings and Infront. Read more

Sense: Sense specializes in developing and distributing tracking devices and home automation solutions for its customers. Sense has raised $10 million in new Series B funding from MacKinnon, Bennett & Co. and IDO Investments. Read more

StashAway: StashAway is a wealth management platform that delivers personalized portfolio management to both retail and accredited investors. StashAway  has raised $12 million in Series B funding led by Eight Roads Ventures, with participation from Asia Capital & Advisors. Read more 

Ordermark: Ordermark is an online ordering management system for restaurants. Ordermark is has raised $18 million in Series B funding led by Foundry Group, with participation from earlier backers TenOneTen Ventures, Vertical Venture Partners, Mucker Capital, Act One Ventures, and Nosara Capital. Trinity Cyber: Trinity Cyber provides proactive, adaptive and invisible military-grade cybersecurity services that are independent from and complementary to your existing network security. Trinity Cyber has raised $23 million in funding led by Intel Capital. Read more

Sierra Energy: Sierra Energy is a technology that turns trash into energy without burning. Sierra Energy has raised $33 million in funding led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures, with participation from Cox Enterprises among others. Read more

Benchling: Benchling is a cloud-based software platform for biology researchers and R&D organizations. Benchling has raised $34.5 million in funding led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator Continuity, Thrive Capital, and Benchmark Lead Edge Capital. Read more 

MindTickle: MindTickle offers the industry's most comprehensive sales readiness solution for closing knowledge and skill gaps in customer-facing teams. MindTickle has raised $40 million in Series C funding led by Norwest Venture Partners. Other participants in the round include earlier backers Accel, Canaan Partners, NewView Capital, and Qualcomm Ventures. Read more  

RedDoorz: RedDoorz is a platform offering budget accommodations across key business and tourist destinations in Southeast Asia. RedDoorz has raised $45 million in Series B funding led by Qiming Venture Partners. Read more
