Clutch, Videolicious, Just Be Friends, UrbanBound, Nestivity among those that raised funds this week

Seed Stage

Sentinel Labs, which detects cyber-security threats in real time, raised $2.5 million in seed funding from Data Collective, Granite Hill Capital Partners, Accel Partners and several other angel investors. 

WillCall, which curates a list of the best shows happening in a given city, raised $1.2 million from Sean ParkerCoran Capshaw, Bruce Flohr, John Frankenheimer, SV AngelJoe GebbiaOliver Luckett, Oliver Jung, and others.

Cloud hosting service DigitalOcean raised $3.2 million led by IA Ventures, with CrunchFund and TechStars participating.

Foap, a Swedish mobile photography startup, closed a $1.5 million funding round from Swedish VC Industrifonden and Maxwell Ventures.

Australian recruitment start-up RecruitLoop closed a $500,000 seed round from The Untitled VC, Todd Forest, and a recruiter.

Mover, a startup that allows for migrating data between cloud storage providers, raised a $1 million seed round from Double M Partners, Yaletown Venture Partners, Amplify, Medra Capital, and angel investors Jarl Mohn, Rick Barry of Quant Ventures, and Dennis Phelps.

Nestivity, a company that helps brands engage more effectively with their followers on Twitter, $1 million in seed financing from unnamed investors. 

Just Be Friends, an interactive social education platform, raised $650,000 in seed-stage funding from by private investors, the Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust, and the National Research Council of Canada.

60GHz wireless specialist Blu Wireless closed a $3.1 million (£2 million) funding round led by Qi3 Accelerator, who represented a syndicate of over $1.5 million (£1 million) of London Business Angels private investors, including Wren Capital. A further $0.9 million (£0.6 million) was invested by the Angel Co-Fund, and several additional investors made up the remainder.

 

Early Stage

Glow, the fertility tracking iOS app co-founded by Max Levchin, debuted with $6 million from Founders Fund and Andreessen Horowitz

Photo-sharing platform 500px raised $8.8 million in Series A funding from Andreessen Horowitz, Harrison Metal, Creative Artists Agency, Rugged Ventures, Dustin Plett and ff Venture Capital.

Sensor Tower, a marketing solution for mobile companies, raised $1 million led by Rembrandt Ventures, along with Merus Capital, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, Pejman Nozad, Mar Hershenson, Ariel Poler and Maneesh Arora.

Engagor, a platform for real-time customer engagement, social media monitoring and analytics, raised $2.6 million in Series A funding led by Hummingbird Ventures.

Maxwell Health, a human resources platform that manages benefits and promotes employee health, raised$2 million Series A funding round led by Tribeca Venture Partners, with participation from Lerer Ventures, Vaizra Investments, BoxGroup, and additional New York and Boston-based investors, including TiE Angels.

Dragon Innovation, a manufacturing services firm, closed a $2.3 million round of financing led byFlybridge Capital Partners and Foundry Group, with additional backing from The Box Group,Lerer Ventures and Undercurrent Ventures.

UrbanBound, a web-based relocation platform, secured $5 million in venture funding led by Grotech Ventures with participation from StarVest Partners.

Video creation app Videolicious raised $2.25 million in a round led by Venture51 and Social Leverage, along with Joanne Wilson, Trestle Ventures, Quotidian Ventures, Washington Post Company, Amazon.com, and the Knight Foundation.


Late Stage

Web and mobile testing company SOASTA raised $30 million in Series E funding from Macquarie Capital, ROTH Capital, Canaan Partners, Formative Ventures and Pelion Venture Partners.

Content delivery network Highwinds closed a new $205 million debt financing transaction with Cerberus Business Finance and Goldman Sachs BDC, and General Catalyst Partners serving as private equity sponsor. 

Consumer taxi app GetTaxi raised a $12 million Series C funding round led by European fund Kreos Capital with participation from existing investors.

HotelUrbano, which offers hotel bookings and vacation packages in 35,000 destinations, raised a $20 Series C round led by Insight Venture Partners.

LendKey, a cloud-based lending technology company raised $12.5 million in Series B venture funding led by Updata Partners and TTV Capital, as well as Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Gotham Ventures.

ClearDATA Networks, a healthcare cloud computing platform and service provider, secured $7 million in Series B funding from Norwest Venture Partners (NVP) and Excel Venture Management.

E-gifting startup Clutch closed a $5.3 million Series B round led by Safeguard Scientifics. Ben Franklin Technology Partners also contributed to the round.

Semiconductor company eASIC raised a strategic investment from Seagate Technology. The amount of the investment was not disclosed.
