No. 1 mistake: Not planning for the long haul

Today's Entrepreneur is Michelle Ritchie, founder and CMO of Delicioius Karma. Delicious Karma is a social shopping site that makes it fun and easy to discover, learn about, and buy exceptional artisanal and gourmet specialty foods, at great prices, while also supporting the community of artisanal food producers.

According to her VEQ. Michelle is good at product management, marketing management and networking.

(Delicioius Karma is one of the promising startups competing to be one of the top 10 finalists to present on stage at Vator Splash SF in February. If you want to see Michelle on stage, or another startup in the competition, register here.)

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?
Frustrating: not everything moves forward fast enough.
Rewarding: you're challenged and learn something new every single day.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs make?
Thinking they are going to be an overnight success and not planning for the long haul...although you likely do need a bit of that mentality to be successful!

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?
#1: A great idea is good, but it's the great people who make it happen.
#2: Its impossible (and stupid) to do it all yourself...still learning this one!
#3: Building a strong brand is critical.
