Whoop raised $200M and acquired PUSH; Cityblock landed $400M; Eight Sleep secured $86M

Push: Push is a personalized digital fitness and health coach. Whoop acquired PUSH for an undisclosed amount. Whoop makes a wearable that monitors sleep and body strain. It also has a membership service for coaching and community support. Push has wearable sensors that can help athletes quantify weightlifting performance. Read more

Amazon: Amazon healthcare venture’s telemedicine and in-person primary care, expanded to all employees in Washington state and plans to expand to other employers across the country. Read more 

Cityblock: Cityblock is a Brooklyn, New York-based tech-driven healthcare provider for those in underserved communities. Cityblock raised $400 million in a Series D round led by SoftBank. Read more 

Whoop: Whoop is a Boston-based maker of fitness wearables. Whoop raised $200 million in Series F finding at a $3.6 billion valuation. SoftBank Vision Fund 2 led the round, joined by IVP, Cavu Ventures, Thursday Ventures, GP Bullhound, Accomplice, NextView Ventures and Animal Capital. Read more

Disc Medicine: Disc Medicine is a Cambridge, Ma.-based clinical-stage biotech focused on hematologic diseases. Disc Medicine raised $90 million in Series B funding. OrbiMed led the round, joined by Arix Bioscience, Janus Henderson Investors, 5AM Ventures, Rock Springs Capital, Nantahala Capital Management, Willett Advisors, and Alexandria Venture Investments. Eight Sleep: Eight Sleep is a New York-based company that makes “smart” mattresses and mattress covers. Eight Sleep has raised $86 million in Series C funding. Valor Equity Partners led the round, joined by SoftBank, Khosla Ventures, Founders Fund, and General Catalyst and a long list of high-profile individuals. Read more

Origin: Origin is a San Francisco-based employee financial wellness platform that offers a suite of services to companies’ workforces that include advising on retirement, equity grants, real estate and taxes. Origin has raised $56 million Series B funding. 01.A and earlier backers General Catalyst and Lachy Groom co-led the round, joined by (other) earlier backers Founders Fund, Felicis Ventures and Abstract Ventures. Lynk Pharma: Lynk Pharma is a Hangzhou, China-based biotech that's focused on a rare blood cancer called myelofibrosis and irritable bowel syndrome. Lynk Pharma has raised $50 million in Series B funding. Lilly Asia Ventures led the round, joined by New Alliance Capital, Hangzhou HEDA Biological Medicine VC Partnership and earlier investors Legend Capital and Med-Fine Capital. Read more

Osana Salud: Osana Salud aims to transform the healthcare infrastructure in Latin America.  Osana Salud has closed on a $20 million Series A round of funding led by General Catalyst. Read more 

Flip: Flip is a L.A.-based beauty and wellness social commerce startup that mixes live commerce mobile apps with customer reviews to improve the buying experience and opportunity for the creator economy. Flip has raised $28 million in Series A funding led by Streamlined Ventures. Read more 

Centaur Labs: Centaur Labs is a Boston-based medical data labeling startup. Centaur Labs has raised $15 million in Series A funding led by Matrix Partners, with participation from Accel, Global Founders Capital, Susa Ventures and Y Combinator. Read more  

SimpliFed: SimpliFed is an Ithaca, New York-based telehealth company that provides access to virtual breastfeeding support to new and pregnant parentsSimpliFed announced Friday that it raised $500,000 in pre-seed funding led by Third Culture Capital. Read more
