House introduces bipartisan bill on AI in banking and housing
The bill would require a report on how these industries use AI to valuate homes and underwrite loans
Read more...I love Joe Biden. I really do. And for a few reasons.
First, I don't believe that he is a gaffe prone as people say. I just don't think he takes himself all that seriously. How many politicians can you say that about?
Plus, he's got a lot more experience than anyone ever gives him credit for. Seriously, the dude became a U.S. Senator when he was 30, was head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and was a key player in ending genocide in Serbia in the 90s.
Most of all, though, he seems like he'd be the kind of guy you'd like to hang out with. I hated that "who do you want to have a beer with?" question from back in the Bush days (ah, the press, always asking the right questions!) but with Biden it's kind of true.
Like, who else but Joe Biden would join Instagram and make this his first post:
No, this is not one of Instagram's new ads, though I wouldn't fault you if you thought it was. It's just Joe being Joe.
Also we possibly just got a preview of of his upcoming Top Gun Halloween costume. Man, I really hope that's the case.
The VP, or whoever actually posted this pic, even anticipated the jokes that people would be making about the photo.
"Vice President Biden's getting ready to head to Pennsylvania with President Obama this afternoon, where he'll lay out steps we can take to train America's workers with the skills they need for good middle-class jobs. Follow @VP for the latest from the Vice President, and the occasional aviators pic," the caption read.
Given his general demeanor, though, its hard to remember that Biden is actually 71 years old, so his social media presence has not exactly been all that robust. He had a Twitter account back in 2012, but then he seemed to kind of forget about, not tweeting anything for a whole 16 months.
Earlier this month he finally hopped back onto the account, if only to hype the party's chances in the upcoming mid-term elections.
Dusting off the Twitter handle for a big midterm election year. Let's get to it, folks! –Joe

Overall, the Obama administration has done a pretty good job of engaging with young people via social media. Remember that the President held the record for the most retweeted photos, until he was usurped by Ellen Degeneres and her Oscar selfie in February.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to see what future pics Biden puts up. And I hope they all involve sunglasses in some way.
