Dispop, Instagrad, SageCloud, Thumbtack, WorldDesk, Minilogs and Wrapp all raised money

Seed-stage

Online women’s clothing consignment shop Bib + Tuck received $600,000 in seed funding from billionaire fashion mogul J. Christopher Burch, along with a couple of angels.

Social bookmarking site Minilogs raised€200,000 seed round from unnamed investors.


Silverback Learning Solutions, an educator-founded technology company, secured financing of $2.5 million from angel investors

Web analytics platform Spinnakr raised a seed round of nearly $1 million, from 500 Startups, Andreessen Horowitz, Point Nine Capital, and others.

Artificial intelligence and robotics startup Anki raised $50 million in funding from Andreessen Horowitz, Index Ventures, and Two Sigma.

Crowdsourced ad agency Dispop secured $600,000 in seed funding from Inimiti Capital Partners.

Instagrad, a crowdfunding platform to help parents pay for their kids’ college education, raised $200,000 in funding from FounderFuel, an accelerator in Canada, and private angel investors.

 

Early-stage

InternMatch, an online platform for students, raised a $4 million Series A round of funding. The round was led by Artis Ventures and Subtraction Capital, and included 500 Startups, Kapor Capital, Rudy Gadre and others.

Encap, a startup that turns your smartphone and tablet into a high-end security key, raised a $2 million round of funding from Norwegian early-stage VC ProVenture Seed.

 

Personalized video platform Idomoo closed a $9 million round of equity funding led by New York based Marker LLC.

WorldDesk, a provider of desktop virtualization software, raised $1.25 million in funding from Belfast-based investment firm Lough Shore Investments and a number of  undisclosed U.S. investors.

Qwaya, a provider of cloud solutions for Facebook advertising, raised $3 million in financing. The round was lead investor in the round was Zobito.

Modus, an eDiscovery services provider, closed $10 million in funding from Harbert Management Corporation and Azalea Capital.

Kids’ clothing line Lolly Wolly Doodle raised $20 million in a round of funding led by Revolution Growth, with help from existing investors FirstMark Capital, Highline Venture Partners, and new investor Novel TMT Ventures.

Namely, a cloud-based people management platform, raised a $3.35 million Series A round, led by True Ventures.

Mercatus, a provider of Origination and Syndication Management for energy investors, raised a Series A funding round of more than $2 million. Led by Vision Ridge Partners, with participation from Augment Ventures and Shah Capital.


Late-stage

CustomMade, a marketplace for custom made goods, raised $18 million in a round of funding led by Atlas Ventures and Google Ventures, with help from Schooner Capital, Next View Ventures, First Round Capital, and Launch Capital.

Thumbtack, a service for hiring local service professionals, raised a $12.5 million Series B round led by Sequoia Capital. Javelin Venture Partners and MHS Capital also contributed to the new investment round.

Social gifting app Wrapp raised $15 million in Series B funding from Greylock Partners, Atomico and Creandum, as well as new investors Qualcomm Ventures, American Express, and SEB Private Equity.

RelateIQ, a big data startup, raised$20 million Series B round, co-led by Formation 8 and Accel Partners.

Search engine optimization company BrightEdge raised $42.8 million in Series D funding, led by Insight Venture Partners, with participation from Intel Capital, Battery Ventures, Altos Ventures and Illuminate Ventures. 

Swedish mobile point-of-sale startup iZettle raised $6.6 million from Banco Santander.

 

Russian online fashion site Lamoda raised $130 million in a round led by Access Industries, with participation from Summit Partners and Tengelmann Ventures.

GoodData, a provider of cloud-based big data analytics platform and applications, raised a $22 million Series D Investment from TOTVS Ventures.

Cloud hosting company FireHost raised a $12 million Series D funding round led by investment partner The Stephens Group.

Dataminr, which analyzes social media data, raised a $30 million venture capital round of funding led by Venrock and Institutional Venture Partners.

Location-as-a-Service startup Locaid closed $4.05 million in new funding. Investors in the round included InterSouth Partners, H.I.G. Ventures, Florida Growth Fund, and others.

Cold data storage startup SageCloud completed $10 million in Series B financing. The round was led by Braemar Energy Ventures, with participation from its existing investor, Matrix Partners.
