There are noteably fewer platforms that help ease the logistics of communicating with clients, even though customer relationship management services such as Salesforce are readily available for sales and marketing departments.
ClearSlide helps fill this void by offering a platform that works through a personalized or company-branded URL to allow the sales professional and customer connect in one click. A company’s full breadth of collateral, including all files and videos, are also accessible here.
“We’re super excited,” CEO Al Lieb said in an phone interview today in reference to the round.
“We’ve been quiet the past few years growing the business and now we’re ready to open up and tell the world what we’re about.”
Lieb, who also co-founded Evite, said that ClearSlide would use the money to expand the company from its current stage of about 30 employees to 70 employees by the end of the year.
“It’s all about harnessing and building the team right now,” Lieb said. “It’s all about bringing good folks in.”
Since Lieb and Jim Benton, the company's COO, began operations two-and-a-half years ago they’ve built a client base that includes Expedia, Rackspace and Dow Jones.
"We can rely on ClearSlide to help us quickly communicate our value to customers and make every second count,” said Scott White, vice president of sales, Rackspace Hosting, in the release.
“I've heard over and over again from our sales team Rackers how indispensable ClearSlide has become for them."
Lieb said that many of his past ventures, like Evite, were about helping people connect in their personal lives. He is excited about ClearSide because it eases personal connection on the enterprise side.
“What I’m really interested is using technology to help people connect to each other,” Lieb said.
“What ClearSide is doing is helping sales reps and customers communicate better.”
