RadiumOne Labs is an open playground for developers to collaborate and test out new products

Real-time social advertising network RadiumOne announced the launch of a new innovation and development arm, RadiumOne Labs.

As a sort of open virtual square for advertising innovators, RadiumOne Labs allows developers and users alike to collaborate in the creation of new advertising tools.  One of the recently launched “experiments” is the ShareGraph, which analyzes social sharing and interactions on the open Web to develop more relevant targeting methods.

Additionally, RadiumOne Labs also recently unveiled “Like/Share,” a new product that allows Web users to “like” or share an advertiser’s display or video campaign by embedding a “like” and “share” button directly into an online ad.  RadiumOne is the only advertising network to enable ad-liking and sharing, the idea being that if the users “like” certain ads, they’ll only be benefitting themselves since it means more relevant ads and less “clutter.”  And since “Like/Share” was launched, advertisers have seen a 20%-30% increase in click-through rates.

Other projects in the RadiumOne Labs pipeline include Project Nile, described as a “new way to stay connected, socialize and share multi-media content with your closest friends while on the go;” Project Yukon, an online advertising solution for brick-and-mortar stores; Project Tigris, a sharing-based solution; and many more.  The Lab acts as a place where developers can test out new projects and implement new solutions in an open, collaborative environment.  Everyday Web users can get involved with projects they simply want to tinker with by jumping into the beta testing phase of certain projects.

“RadiumOne Labs is a community sandbox to develop best-in-class social advertising solutions. Our Like/Share display and video overlay tool is driving deeper engagement, earned media impressions, and higher click-through rates for advertisers,” said Gurbaksh Chahal, CEO and Founder of RadiumOne, in a statement.  “With over 10 billion things shared on the Open Web every day, RadiumOne Like/Share enables our advertisers to participate and benefit from the explosive growth of social sharing happening on the Open Web.”
