Read more...Just as everyone was trying to figure out what AOL's $850 million buy of Bebo meant for the market for social networking sites, reports are springing up that AOL might not be done.
AllThingsD's Kara Swisher is reporting that the one-time dial-up leader is in talks to buy KickApps, which provides a suite of social-networking tools to other Web sites.
Buying KickApps on top of Bebo would give AOL serious offerings in the social-networking market, just as its earlier acquisitions of Tacoda and Quigo gave it traction in online advertising.
Finding a way to mash all these pieces into a coherent hole will be the challenge for AOL.
