David Thacker on entrepreneurs' mistakes
Greylock venture capitalist says launch early, test and measure
It's become stylish these days for entrepreneurs to "pivot" often. That doesn't mean, however, that it's a fad that's going away soon. Pivoting, or making tweaks and changes to the product, is one thing some of the best entrepreneurs do today, said David Thacker, a venture capitalist at Greylock.
David was responding to a question about the biggest mistake entrepreneurs make. The biggest mistake they make is anchoring themselves to a product or vision without taking into account the customer demand for it, and reacting to the feedback. "Launch early, test, measure and repeat," he explained.
Entrepreneurs who follow this prescription make the best products, he added.
