  • Ognomy Sleep, a virtual sleep medicine platform transforming access to diagnosis and treatment for obstructive sleep apnea, raised a $20 million Series A financing round led by Catalyst Investors, with participation from Blue Heron Capital. The round also included new and follow-on investments from Impellent Ventures, LaunchNY, Excell and Upstate Biotech Ventures, University of Buffalo, and strategic partners who have supported the company’s growth and mission since its early stages
  • Queue, a company building a fully autonomous robotic pharmacy, raised $18.6 million, including a seed round led by AlleyCorp, following a $6 million pre-seed round led by Riot Ventures. Additional investors include House Capital, Ubiquity Ventures, Grep Ventures and Banter Capital

  • NeuroBell, a company developing a novel medical device providing portable EEG monitoring with real-time and automated neonatal seizure alerts, raised $5.5 million in a round led by Elkstone, with participation from Parkview Health, Furthr, Atlantic Bridge, Medtech Syndicate and Enterprise Ireland
  • Saltroad, a clinician-led speech and language therapy provider, raised £1.5 million in a round led by Techstart Ventures, with participation from Ascension, ScaleX and a group of prominent angel investors
  • Mykare Health, a provider of surgeries, preventive care, second medical opinion, and telemedicine services, raised $3.2 million from Andrew and Alfredo, and a family office from the Middle East

Edtech:

  • YoLearn.ai, aVoice-first AI tutoring platform, raised $500,000 in a pre-seed funding round co-led by DataAlpha.ai and White Swan Global, with participation from a group of angel investors

Policy and government

  • Democrats in 25 states and the District of Columbia sued the Trump administration over its recent guidance on new Medicaid work requirements, arguing the strict rules will prevent eligible Americans from accessing the care they need. The attorneys general and governors who filed the lawsuit allege that an interim final rule released earlier this month by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services oversteps the text of the law last summer that set in motion the changes to Medicaid
  • Two federal judges blocked the Trump administration from implementing new restrictions on a student loan forgiveness program that would have barred public service workers from receiving debt relief if their employers are deemed to have a “substantial illegal purpose.” The rulings came just one day before the new eligibility rules were set to take effect
