Are you a cleantech startup? Would you want, or know a cleantech startup that might want, an opportunity to meet the United States Secretary of Energy?
If so, read on.
The Berkeley-Stanford Cleantech Launchpad business and ideas competition is now live and accepting competitors at http://www.cleantechlaunchpad.com/.
The Berkeley-Stanford Cleantech Launchpad event is aimed at bringing ideas out of the classroom and into the boardroom, and has minimal requirements to encourage teams from a variety of backgrounds and at different stages in the ideation process, from napkin ideas to fully fleshed business models, to compete.
In order to enter, your team must:
– Include at least one registered student at any accredited college or university
– Submit a 60 second video or 3-5 slide powerpoint presentation outlining the idea
– Submit a 1/2 page executive summary of the idea
– Be early stage (less than 10 employees, younger than 2 years old, and have received less than $50,000 in total funding)
Does your cleantech company exceed these requirements? Participate instead in the BSC Launchpad Showcase on April 8, 2011! The BSC Launchpad Showcase, the kickoff event for the Berkeley-Stanford Cleantech Conference, will include a cleantech expo, where cleantech companies can gather to share and display their unique product offerings to the students of Stanford and Berkeley as well as the participants in the Berkeley Stanford Cleantech Conference. Immediately following the expo, the student members of each semi-finalist team will give live pitches of their ideas and the crowd will help determine the Grand Prize Winner.
