Osso VR secured $27M, Linus Health landed $55M; Thrive Global raised $80M

RealSleep: RealSleep is a L.A.-based company making what it says is a fully customizable, cannabinoid-based sleep aid. RealSleep has raised $2.2 million in seed funding from unnamed investors. Read more

Little Otter: Little Otter is a children's mental health company that developed an app that focuses on the mental health of children and their families.  Little Otter launches with $4.2 million investment to improve access to quality mental health care for kids and families. Read more 

Osso VR: Osso VR is a platform that allows surgeons to practice their skills in a virtual environment. Osso VR raises $27 million Series B round of funding, led by GSR Ventures, with participation from Signalfire, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, OCA Ventures, Scrum Ventures, Leslie Ventures and Anorak Ventures.  Read more

Linus Health: Linus Health is a Boston-based cognitive screening platform that screens for the prevalence of dementia. Linus Health has raised $55 million in Series B funding led by Morningside Ventures. Read more

Xilis: Xilis is a Durham, N.C.-based cancer-treatment company that takes tissue samples from cancer patients and turns them into thousands of micro replicas that it can then test with various treatment options to determine which one might be most effective. Xilis has raised $70 million in Series A funding. Mubadala Capital led the round, joined by GV, Felicis Ventures and LSP. Read more

Muna Therapeutics: Muna Therapeutics is a Copenhagen-based developer of treatments for Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, has raised $73 million in Series A funding from Novo Holdings, Sofinnova Partners, Droia Ventures and LSP Dementia Fund. Read more

Antheia: Antheia is a Menlo Park, Ca.-based startup using synthetic biology to produce medicines currently sourced from plants. Antheia has raised $73 million in Series B funding led by Viking Global Investors, Sherpalo Ventures and Hillspire. Read more 

Thrive Global: Thrive Global is a New York-based employee wellness company founded by Arianna Huffington. Thrive Global has raised $80 million in Series C funding co-led by Kleiner Perkins and Owl Ventures. Read more
