Diagnosia, a European source for medical drug information, raised €1 million from FFG, along with angel investors Christoph Prinz, Michael Altrichter, Johann Jauk, Martin Dall, and Christoph Gelbmann.

Luminate Health, a SaaS provider that gives labs a digital platform for their patients to access and understand their lab test results, raised a $1M seed round led by KEC Ventures.

Kahuna, a mobile marketing automation company, secured more than $2 million of fundinf from SoftTech VCCostanoa Venture Capital and angel investors, including Tim Kendall, Raj De Datta, Lee Linden, Chamath Palihapitiya, Omar SiddiquiDavid Vivero, Matt Wyndowe, and others.

Appoxee, a mobile app engagement platform, raised $1.8 million in additional seed funding, led by Lazarus Israel Opportunities Fund and Moshe Lichtman and included Cyhawk Ventures and Oryzn Capital.

Silk, a cloud-based data publishing platform, raised a $1.6 million extended seed round investment from New Enterprise Associates (NEA).

ERN, a big data technology company, raised $1 million in seed funding from undisclosed investors. 

Socratic, an online open community where teachers share educational video content, raised $1.5 million. The round was ledy by Spark Capital, with participation from Betaworks, Andreessen Horowitz, David Tisch, John Maloney, and Terrapin Bale.

 

Early stage

Collaboration software company Nitro raised $3.1 million in new funding from Starfish Ventures.

Mobile advertising management company LiquidM raised $5 million in Series A funding from Blumberg Capital, Earlybird, and Asset Management.

YouTube network DanceOn raised $4 million in funding in a round co-led by Plus Capital and AMC Networks.

Level, a mobile-first financial services company, received $5 million in Series A funding. Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers led the round with participation from Sandy Weill, Reed Hundt and Blake Grossman.

Scan, which generates custom QR codes, raised $7 million led by Entree Capital, along with existing investors, including Menlo Ventures.

True&Co, which personalizes online bra shopping, raised $4 million in funding from Crosslink, VegasTechFund, Pejman Nozad, and FundersClub.

KIDO’Z, a Web and mobile platform that allows children to have a safe digital experience, raised $1.2 million from Lool Ventures. Angel investors that participated included Dov Moran, Aryeh Mergi, and others. 

Refresh, a mobile application that delivers an instant dossier about people you meet, raised $10 million in financing from Redpoint Ventures, Charles River Ventures and Foundation Capital.

Real-time TV advertising intelligence platform iSpot.tv raised a $5 million round of funding from Madrona Venture Group and TL Ventures.

Sparkcentral, formerly TwitSpark, raised $4.5 million in funding from Sigma West, along with The Social+Capital Partnership, Graph Ventures, and existing angel investors, including Sebastien de Halleux.

Wireless transfer system WAVE, which tackles the problem of heavy and expensive vehicle batteries through wireless power, raised a $1.4 million round of funding led by Kickstart.

Russian e-book retailer LitRes raised $5 million in funding from The Russian Internet Technology Fund.

Cirro, which enables on-the-fly access, exploration, and analysis across all disparate data sources, closed $8 million in Series A funding led by Toba Capital along with Frost Venture Partners and Miramar Venture Partners.

TempoDB, a time series database service, closed $3.2 million in Series A funding. Hyde Park Venture Partners led the round with participation from Chicago Ventures, Divergent Ventures and angel investors such as Hyde Park Angels.

Cinarra Systems, a provider of operator analytics and monetization technologies, secured a $4.5 million series A round led by Almaz Capital, with participation from Cisco and individual investors.

Jobaline, abilingual, mobile hourly job marketplace, raised a $4.3 million Series A investment from Madrona Venture Group, Rudy Gadre and other angel investors.

Street-level digital interactive technology company elevate DIGITAL secured $1.5 million in venture funding from Partners Path Investments.

 

Late stage

Dog-sitting service DogVacay raised a $15 million Series B round led by Foundation Capital, with help from DAG Ventures, Sherpa Ventures, Benchmark and First Round Capital. 

In-store mobile marketing company Swirl raised $8 million in funding from Hearst Ventures, with participation from SoftBank Capital and Longworth Venture Partners.

Health and fitness tracker Basis raised $11.75 million in additional Series B round of funding from Intel Capital, iNovia Capital, Dolby Family Trust, Stanford University and Peninsula-KCG. Mayfield Fund, DCM and Norwest Venture Partners also participated.

Lookout, a provider of security software, secured $55 million in strategic financing in a round led by Deutsche Telekom. Qualcomm Ventures, Greylock Partners, Mithril Capital Management, Accel Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Index Ventures, and Khosla Ventures all participated.

Indian e-commerce company Flipkart raised another $160 million from Dragoneer Investment Group, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Sofina, Vulcan Capital and Tiger Global.

Mobile platform Divide, formerly Enterproid, secured $12 million in Series B funding led by Google Ventures. Comcast Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners and Harmony Partners also participated.

ShopRunner, an Amazon competitor that offers its members unlimited two-day shipping, raised $206 million from Alibaba Group and American Express. 

GreenWave Reality, provider of the  Home2Cloud platform, closed $19 million in Series B funding led by The Westly Group including follow-on investment from Craton Equity Partners.

Dauria Aerospace, a global satellite services company, raised a $20 million Series B round from I2BF Global Ventures.

Dollar Shave Club, which delivers personal grooming products by mail, raised $12 million in a Series B investment round from Venrock. Comcast Ventures, New World Ventures and Battery Ventures also participated.
