Web app builder Divshot has raised $1.1 million in seed funding. The round was led by Rincon Venture Partners, with participation from 500 Startups, Daher Capital, Floodlight Ventures, Cooley LLP, Drummond Road Capital, and Eric Hammond.
Messaging app MessageMe raised a $1.9 million seed investment from True Ventures, First Round Capital, Google Ventures, SVAngel, Resolut.vc, Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners and Social+Capital Partnership, as well as angel investors Brian Pokorny, Hiten Shah, Eric Wu, Rex Ng, Darian Shirazi and Suleman Ali.
Importio, a cloud-based big data platform, raised a £600,000 ($900,000) seed round from Wellington Partners, Alta Vista founder Louis Monier, and French technology investor Emmanuel Javal.
Crowdfunding platform Realty Mogul raised $500,000 of seed financing from angel investors including Gust CEO David S. Rose, Zillow board member Gordon Stephenson, and serial entrepreneur and Sky Kruse.
Canva, an Australia-based startup that is aiming to disrupt the desktop design industry, raised $3 million in seed funding from Matrix Partners, InterWest Partners and 500 Startups, along with angel investors Bill Tai, Lars Rasmussen, Ken Goldman, and Paul Bassat.
Nonstop Games, a Finland and Singapore based games company, raised a $2.9 million seed round led by Creandum and Lifeline Ventures.
Early-stage
Omada Health, a startup that has created an online program for people with prediabetes, raised $4.7 million in a Series A round led by U.S. Venture Partners, with help from The Vertical Group, Founder Collective, NEA, TriplePoint Capital, Kapor Capital, and angel investors.
Mobile messaging service Red e App raised $750,000 in a Series A round led by Yearling Fund II. Other, unnamed investors also participated in the oversubscribed round.
Online hiring service ClearFit closed a $7 million Series A round of funding led by GrandBanks Capital and Relay Ventures.
Video marketing platform Vidyard closed a $6 million Series A led by Canada’s OMERS Ventures, along with existing investors iNovia Capital and SoftTech VC also participated, along with a personal investment from Eloqua‘s Jill Rowley.
Education networking platform EverTrue closed a $5.25 million series A funding round, led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from Boston Seed Capital, David Cohen, Andy Dunn and Brian Spaly.
Concurrent, an enterprise Big Data application platform company, announced that it raised $4 million in Series A funding led by True Ventures and Rembrandt Venture Partners.
Online photography start-up ImageBrief raised a $700,000 round from Paul Bassat and Justin Liberman of Square Peg Ventures, as well as other Australian investors.
Mobile ad technology company Human Demand closed a Series A round led Digital Entertainment Ventures and the ARC Angel Fund, along with Empire Angel Group, Blackgate Ventures, TJNS Capital, active angle investors, and Howie Schwartz .
AdzCentral, a Singapore startup building an online targeted media buying platform, raised SGD 4 million, $3.2 million, in Series A funding from Electric Sheep Capital and Digital Media Partners.
BackupAgent, a provider of cloud backup technology from The Netherlands, raised a $2 million investment round led by Runa Capital, with participation from existing investor Solid Ventures.
Videdressing, a social marketplace dedicated to fashion, raised a $6 million Series A round led by Earlybird Venture Capital, DN Capital and Piton Capital, with participation from Generis Capital.
Fraud-detection service Sift Science raised a $4 million Series A round led by Union Square Ventures.
Troop ID, which allows for digitally verifying military credentials to claim discounts and benefits, raised $2.1 million from David Tisch and Mark McLaughlin.
Spanning Cloud Apps, the makers of Spanning Backup for Google Apps, secured $2 million in Series A funding from Foundry Group.
QPID, a health care IT software company, closed $4 million in early funding from investors including Matrix Partners, Partners Innovation Fund, Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO) and Cardinal Partners.
Late-stage
ShareThis, creator of “social sharing” buttons, raised $23M in Series C, led by T-Venture, with participation from Harbourton, Blue Chip Venture Company, DFJ, Illinois Ventures, Matthew Pritzker Company, Mercury Fund and RPM Ventures, and corporate funds represented by West Capital Advisors.
Dachis Group, a data-driven social marketing solution company, raised $7.5 million in Series C funding led by Austin Ventures.
Financial software company Wealthfront raised a $20 million round led by Index Ventures, and joined by Greylock Partners, Social+Capital Partnership and angel investors Matt Mullenweg, Adam D’Angelo and Cipora Herman.
Transit mobile ticketing company Masabi secured $2.8 million in funding from Fontinalis Partners, MMC Ventures and m8 Capital.
Content marketing and syndication platform NewsCred raised $15 million in funding from Mayfield Fund, Greycroft Partners, FirstMark Capital and IA Ventures.
Big data shopping startup Decide.com closed an $8 million Series C funding round, led by Vulcan Capital, participatiion from Maveron and Madrona Venture Group.
Custom online menswear company Indochino raised $13 million in a series B round of financing led bythe Highland Consumer Fund with participation by existing investors Madrona Venture Group, Acton Capital Partners, and Jeff Mallett.
