Soldsie, which helps brands sell on Facebook, raised $1 million in seed funding from 500 Startups, FundersClub, and angels, including Yun-Fang Juan, Jonathan Ehrlich, Prosper Nwankpa, Elliot Loh and Tom Kelly. 

GoEuro, a multi-mode travel search engine, closed a $4 million seed funding round led by Battery Ventures and Hasso Plattner Ventures, and joined Dave Baggett of ITA Software and Jeff Sagansky of Global Eagle Entertainment.

Real time social creativity platform Scoot & Doodle raised $2.25 million in seed funding from Pearson and Silicon Valley angel investors.

 

Contactually, which makes a CRM tool for email, announced a $1 million seed round lead by Point Nine Capital and Boston Seed Capital. Existing investors, including 500 Startups and previous angel investors, also joined in on the round.

Looker Data Sciences, a business intelligence startup, raised $2 million in funding led by First Round Capital and PivotNorth Capital.


Vistar Media, a digital out of home programmatic media platform, closed a $1.5 million seed round led by Valhalla Partners with Mercury Fund also participating, along with Ben Franklin Technology Partners and others.

Epoxy, a start-up building tools for professional video channels and networks, raised $2 million in funding led by GRP Partners. 

Early-stage

Pathbrite, which specializes in dynamic digital education portfolios raised $4 million in additional Series A funding from college assessment leader ACT, with help from ReThink Education, Josh Mailman, and existing angel investors.

Digitial media network Alloy Digital raised a $30 million Series A funding round led by ABS Capital Partners, along with existing investors, including Zelnick Media. 

Late-stage

Online to offline marketing company Retailigence raised $6.3 million in Series B funding from existing investors DFJ, Quest, and Motorola Solutions Venture Capital, as well as new investors Telenav and OPT.

Health and fitness tracker Basis raised $11.5 million in a Series B round of funding led by Mayfield Fund, with help from existing investors DCM and Norwest Venture Partners.

Comparison-search site FindTheBest raised $11 million in financing, led by New World Ventures with participation from existing investors Kleiner Perkins, as well as Kevin O’Connor, founder and CEO of FindTheBest.

Backup and recovery service Quorum raised $11 million in Series B funding, led by new investor Toba Capital, along with prior investors, including Airtek Capital Group.

Social gaming platform TastemakerX raised $1.25M in funding from Baseline, True, Guggenheim, and AOL.  

 

Cloud networking company Pertino raised $20 million in Series B funding led by new investor Jafco Ventures, with participation from existing investors, including Norwest Venture Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Bloomfire, a knowledge-sharing tool for the modern workforce, raised $8 million in new financing from Austin Ventures and Redpoint Ventures.

 

Innovid, a technology platform delivering immersive video advertising, raised $11 million in Series C funding from existing investors Sequoia Capital, Genesis Partners, and T-Venture and new investor Vintage Investment Partners. 

Virtualization data management company Actifio raised a $50 million Series D round led by Technology Crossover Ventures, with participation from existing investors Advanced Technology Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners.

Metaps an Android monetization platform, has secured JPY 1 billion (approx. $11 million) in Series B private equity financing from Fidelity Growth Partners Japan along with existing investors.

Beats Electronics received a $60 million investment for its new music service, called “Daisy.” The round was led by Access Industries, Marc Rowan, James Packer, and groups associated with Lee M. Bass.

Appcore, a company that offers complete cloud computing infrastructure, raised $6 million Series B funding round which included private investors as well as existing investor Telephone Acquisition Company.

Hybris Software, a commerce platform provider, secured a $30 million investment from Meritech Capital Partners, Greylock Israel, and existing investor Huntsman Gay Global Capital.


Anaplan, provider of cloud-based modeling and planning solutions for finance and operations, closed $30 million in new venture led by Meritech Capital, along with existing investors Granite Ventures and Shasta Ventures. 

 

PeopleMatter, maker of HR software, raised $19 million in Series B funding, led by Scale Venture Partners. Previous investors Intersouth Partners, Morgenthaler Ventures,Harbert Venture Partners, Noro-Moseley Partners, C&B Capital and Silicon Valley Bank also contributed to the funding.
