Full bio

An entrepreneur and experienced business professional, Yuval Tal works in the field of innovative mass online payment programs used around the world. He is president of Payoneer, a company he founded  in 2005 and oversees the workforce of 100 skilled workers. Along with his varied experience in Internet payment systems and E-commerce programs, he is an avid sportsman and an amateur field photographer. 

Yuval Tal is from the Mediterranean coastal city of Tel Aviv, Israel, where he grew up and received his education.  Shortly after high school he began his service in the Israeli Defense Forces and was selected to join an elite unit. In 1986 he received high honors in a special awards ceremony for risking his life to save another and going beyond the call of duty. Upon completion of his army duties, he went to the Tel Aviv University where he earned his BSc in mechanical engineering, his MSc in biomedical engineering, minor in business administration.

Business Experience

Yuval Tal is a well-versed professional in Internet security systems, currency exchange and applications using prepaid cards. He has worked to develop various Internet applications and joined forces with high tech startups as well as established Internet companies to develop and expand the quickly growing field of E-commerce. He went to work at the Israeli firm Radware Ltd., where he was the director of business development. Radware won many international awards for its fully integrated applications that provide delivery solutions. He later went to the firm R-U-Sure Ltd, also located in Israel, and as its CEO he helped the company create a program that helped potential buyers compare prices and details of products or services before making the final purchase. 

He co-created and acted as CEO for an E-commerce business called E4X Inc in 1999, a company that offered online payment solutions for its clients.  The company's services attracted a high percentage of blue chip clients and as the new company grew quickly, it was soon valued at $500 million. E4X Inc. has changed names since then and is now known as Fifty One Global E-Commerce.

Current Position

As he gained experience in the field of E-commerce, Yuval Tal continued by founding Payoneer, an innovative system that works by use of a MasterCard® card that is prepaid. The company can handle massive numbers of simultaneous transactions and makes it possible for its clients to send out and receive millions of payments anywhere in the world.

Personal Interests

Field photography has always been one of Yuval Tal's hobbies, so while in New York he took advantage of the opportunity to study at world-famous schools. He enrolled in general courses at the New School and took field photography courses at the Parsons New School of Design, which carries with it the reputation of being one of the global leaders in schools that offer high quality design and art studies.

Yuval Tal is a sports enthusiast and regularly trains for competitions. Recently he took part in the Nike Night Run, a 10-kilometer run held in Israel, and he participated in the triathlon, which also involved swimming and cycling.
