I want to invent something cool.
Uber, Lyft, Square, Pulse, Nestio
Most frustrating: sleep deprivation, loneliness, lack of personal life, feelings of helplessness.
Most rewarding: solving complex challenges with very limited resources, learning more than you could possibly learn in any other environment.
They obsess over minute details that in the end don't matter much, if at all. They don't question the important assumptions they're making regarding the demand for their product, the key players in their space and their go-to-market strategy.
1. The people around you will make or break or your startup.
2. Your success should never hinge on the efforts of anyone outside of your core team.
3. Stop and question yourself frequently, asking if what you're doing will help you achieve your most immediate goal.
