Mike Bodnyk, CFA

Michael Bodnyk is co-founder and Managing Director of Stallia Capital Management, overseeing risk management operations and assisting with the research and development of proprietary trading strategies. Prior to joining Stallia, Mr. Bodnyk worked for Evolution Capital Management, a US-based hedge fund with an expertise in trading Asian equity-linked derivatives. Mr. Bodnyk served on Evolution's risk management committee with the responsibility of overseeing risk reporting operations for all of the company's funds, reporting directly to the company's founder and chief investment officer. With combined assets under management of nearly two billion dollars, Mr. Bodnyk was responsible for monitoring more than seven billion dollars of equity and equity-linked derivative exposures. Mr. Bodnyk assisted with the development of new investment strategies for Evolution’s proprietary trading desk and helped set up and launch an Asia-based volatility trading desk where he co-managed a portfolio of Korean and Japanese listed equity index options. Mr. Bodnyk worked directly with Evolution's Marketing Director and CEO to help raise capital for the company's funds and began his tenure working under the General Counsel with a focus on regulatory compliance. Mr. Bodnyk graduated from Simon Fraser University (Dean's Honour List) with a BSc in Business Administration and Computing Science. Mr. Bodnyk is a CFA Charterholder, actively serving on the CFA Society of San Francisco's Continuing Education Committee and Career Development Committee as well as the Bay Area Financial Education Foundation.
