Rewarding: Hearing how you've changed the lives of your users
Frustrating: Often times startups get little respect; that makes developing partnerships and gaining attention a challenge.
Not thinking long term about their businesses and trying to rush things.
I founded BiggerPockets.com because I felt that there weren't any sites in the real estate investing niche that I believe were credible at the time. All were focused on upselling courses and bootcamps instead of focusing on educating the investor. As an investor myself, I was looking for a place where I didn't need to succumb to this mindset and could turn to other investors for help, instead of relying on marketers.
Prior to BiggerPockets, I worked in the entertainment industry, held my real estate license in California, and have toyed around in other entrepreneurial ventures.
