Craig leads Nextag’s Corporate Development efforts. He focuses on identifying and pursuing acquisition opportunities in a variety of sectors to add complementary capabilities, enter new business areas, and expand into additional geographic markets. Recent acquisitions include Guenstiger.de (a leading product search company in Germany), Thingbuzz (a real-time social media technology platform that tracks and organizes the conversation about products in the social media sphere), FanSnap (a leading search engine for live event tickets) and Wize.com (a product review website utilizing machine learning technology).
Prior to joining Nextag, Craig was a Vice President at Providence Equity Partners (the majority shareholder of Nextag), where he evaluated and executed growth equity investments and acquisitions in the digital media sector (areas of focus included e-commerce, search, ad networks, mobile, social, online content & advertising, classifieds, and lead generation).
Earlier in his career, Craig was an Associate at General Atlantic Partners and focused on investments in the software and digital media areas. Prior to General Atlantic, Craig was an investment banking analyst in the Telecommunications Group at Morgan Stanley & Co.
Craig graduated from Harvard College with an AB in Economics and East Asian Studies and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
