Adriana Gascoigne

Adriana Gascoigne is the Founder and CEO of Girls in Tech, a non-profit organization, which she launched alongside her colleagues Kate Brodock and Ivo Lukas in February 2007. As a woman in tech, Adriana’s passion lies in bolstering opportunities around the empowerment, engagement and education of women in tech. She recently launched Singapore-based start-up, HelpLearn.Asia, an eLearning platform for small and medium-sized businesses. Previously, Adriana worked as the Vice President of Marketing at SecondMarket, the global marketplace for illiquid assets. She was responsible for SecondMarket’s marketing, branding strategy, event production and digital media efforts. Adriana has also worked at technology startups responsible for a variety of different roles including product marketing, communications, business development and corporate strategy. Some of the more notable startups include UnifiedInbox, Indiegogo, ImpulseFlyer, hi5 (Tagged), SocialGamingNetwork (SGN), Jambool’s SocialGold (Google) and GUBA. She has worked at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide as the Vice President of 360 Digital Influence and is an “Intel Insider,” serving as a brand and product advisor for Intel. She serves as a strategic advisor to startups including StartupStockExchange, Involver (Oracle), Numiyo Technologies, Palindrome Advisors, CharityBlossom, DooChoo, and Change.org. In 2009, Adriana launched “SmittenWithMittens,” which is now “The YOUniform Project,” a philanthropy providing fair trade uniforms and educational resources to children in developing countries. Adriana holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Economics from the University of California at Davis. She received a certification from El Tecnologico de Monterrey in Aguascalientes, Mexico in 2000, and participated in Semester at Sea, University of Pittsburgh in 1997.
