Global ecommerce and online payments leader eBay reported that revenue for the second quarter ending June 30, 2011, increased 25% to $2.8 billion, compared to the same period of 2010.

 

Google+ got its very own iPhone app, which should have been as exciting as the Web launch of Google+. But it wasn't. It was a bore.

 

Ness Computing, a stealth startup that’s developing a unique new personalized search service, raised $5 million in a Series A round of financing led by Vinod Khosla and Ramy Adeeb of Khosla Ventures, with participation from Alsop Louie Partners, TomorrowVentures, Bullpen Capital, a co-founder of Palantir Technologies and several angel investors.

 

 

 

Tango, provider of free mobile video calling, raised $42 million in Series B funding led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson and venture capital vehicle led by Len Blavatnik and Alex Zubillaga.

Unity Technologies, provider of the Unity development platform for games and interactive 3D on the Web, iOS, Android and more, secured $12 million in a Series B financing round led by WestSummit Capital in China and iGlobe Partners in Singapore.
