The Corporate World for medical devices is frantically trying to discover the key to being a long-term successful player in China. I know how to achieve this outcome. I am an experienced blue-chip corporate business leader with 40 years’ involvement in the Asia Pacific medical device healthcare industry. After retiring from the corporate environment in 2009, I established my management consultancy firm Ultra Business Solutions, and subsequently received engagements from companies including Medtronic China, Johnson & Johnson Medical China, Synthes China, Zuellig Pharma China, Cook Medical Asia Pacific, delivered one-on-one mentoring and coaching to more than 45 senior executives from Japan, China, India, Australia, Hong Kong, Korea and Singapore as well as lecturing on leadership development for a Mt Eliza Executive Education program at Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne. In 2013/14 I undertook the role as International Leader for a Chinese Company to build their global presence. I have proven people and leadership development skills; strong focus on business results; and effective change-management skills. My core competencies include: ■ strategic planning and implementation ■ demand generation and sales/marketing management ■ organizational design and operational process re-engineering ■ executive-level and senior leadership mentoring/coaching development ■ cross-country strategy development and implementation I previously worked with Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer corporations that embraced extensive senior executive management roles covering China, Korea, India, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and the ASEAN countries. These roles included key responsibilities for country and cross-country P&L, multi-country market assessment, development and product launches, international acquisitions, and integration and strategic partnerships. Since 2009 I have lived in China and totally committed to helping companies be successful in China.
