I am a(n):

Entrepreneur

If you're an entrepreneur or corporate innovator, why?

I want to change the world.

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

Helping everyone see what I can already see!

The lack of professionalism in business, IE. simple follow through and mutual respect. Poor customer service really is the downfall of most companies.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs/innovators make?

Not taking the time to first see if they should. Having a great idea is one thing but that doesn't mean you should develop it. You need to understand all the ins and outs of your business and that takes a lot of dedicated research.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

Research is critical, you must have a leader with unwavering faith in the project/company, a strong team will get you far.

As a CEO/founder, I found the first and most important thing that must happen if you want to start your own company is you have to be willing to look in the mirror and see what is honestly there. You need to be able to clearly see what you are, who you are, identify what you are good at , and what you are not good at.

The next most important thing an entrepeneur needs to do is reasearch every aspect of his/her project; the technology, components your technology will interact with, where technology is going by studying the largest technology firms, the market place in both who will be my customers and what is my customers current situation and is this what investors are looking for and have I created and left enough value for them, can I find the right team members, do I have the passion and faith in my product to hold the vision for the entire company when things get rough, are there regulatory preparations and how do I prepare for them, where do I form my company and can I cover all my weeknesses with the strength of others to make sure the company is never fulnerable.
