The most frustrating thing about innovation is time. Having to stop product development to focus on fundraising, marketing, and business development pulls me away from my true passion: just building something cool for people who want it. The most rewarding thing is seeing a consumer really enjoy not only the concept of what we are offering, but the product itself. This is why consumer feedback and fulfillment is very important at GraphWear.
Building something that nobody wants. Market need needs to be derisked, or else a company is bound to fail. Building something cool that people want and need: that should be the goal of every startup.
1. Do not forget to make sure what you are building has a need.
2. Make sure you ask what a consumer wants rather than assume what they want.
3. Find as many ways as possible to put off spending money.
