Rewarding - Getting emails from users who love what we're doing and want to support us.
Not validating their business model before building the product
1. Find someone to buy what you're selling before you build it

3. Startups are supposed to be an attempt to build a business, and fundraising pales in comparison with profitability.
Grew up in Florida and Colorado.
Served in the US Navy from 2001 - 2005, stationed in Italy for most of that time.
Attended University of Colorado for International Business, graduated with honors.
First job out of college was working at CNET as an associate product manager at GameSpot.com.
Left CNET after a year and spent 2007-2011 working as a freelance web/mobile developer, traveling the world, and blogging at http://ryanwaggoner.com.
Active real estate investor with multiple properties in Colorado.
Started DailyPath in early 2011 to build a community of people learning and accomplishing new things together.
