What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

Entrepreneurship consists of dealing with problems. Its great you work through it all and can laugh about getting through hard stuff.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs/innovators make?

Squabbling.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

(1) Take the time to make sure you are working with the right people, (2) make plans and be prepare to adjust them as you go and (3) don't forget to take care of yourself.

Ryan Pawell is an Eagle Scout, engineer, inventor and scientist turned biotechnology startup CEO. Prior to moving to Australia, he completed a Bachelors of Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, worked with NuVasive to develop a multi-function drill-tap-screw guide for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, and developed portable oxygen concentrators for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder while at Inogen. Ryan is on leave of absence from a PhD where developed disposable microfluidic devices for processing cells resulting in various scholarships, honours and awards for his academic and entrepreneurial endeavours along with a competitive grant, provisional patents, top-ranked journal articles, refereed conference papers and abstracts. Ryan was also elected to multiple leadership positions, is a NSW Health Ignition Medical graduate, IndieBio SF 2 alumni, options inventions to one of the world’s most prolific invention development companies, contributes healthcare articles to Seeking Alpha and enjoys surfing in his spare time.
