Investor
Robyn Ward has 15 years of experience working with early stage Internet
companies. Her expertise is in business model development, launch
planning and execution, strategic partnerships, and fundraising. In
addition to numerous consulting and advisory roles, Robyn has been among
the first handful of employees at 6 venture-backed companies. Having been
a part of the NYC Tech community since 2000, she moved to LA in 2008 to
run Business Development efforts for Docstoc, the leading small business
resources portal that is now owned by Intuit. Robyn recently switched from
operator to service provider, taking a role heading up New Media Ventures
for United Talent Agency. In her new role, she works closely with UTA's
portfolio of early-stage companies, helping them with business planning,
fundraising, team building, customer acquisition, and business
development. In addition she identifies new investment and incubation
opportunities for UTA.
Robyn began her career as an investment banker with Donaldson, Lufkin and
Jenrette. She's also a prolific teacher, leader and speaker tapped by
companies and events to share her expertise with early stage and startup
founders, and is an active leader among LA¹s tech community. She holds a
BS in Business, with a dual emphasis on Entrepreneurship and Finance, from
the University of Southern California.
