Mike has over 25 years experience working in London, New York and LA advising private and publicly held clients on corporate transactions in the technology, telecoms, advertising/marketing services, traditional/digital media, internet and ecommerce sectors.
Mike has led multiple recent M&A and financing transactions including:
•the private equity funding by Scottish Equity Partners of Media Ingenuity;
•the acquisition for Avelo of TrigoldCrystal;
•the disposal of Techlightenment to Experian plc;
•the sale of Brighter Option to Buddy Media;
•a number of acquisitions and disposals for Flying Brands plc;
•the equity re-financings of Jagex Games Studios and WorldOne;
•the equity investments by Meredith Corporation into Iris Nation and Hearst Interactive Media into Stylus;
•the venture financings of www.lovehomeswap.com, www.rollupmedia.com and www.made.com; and
•the joint venture to create Noho Film and Television.
Mike has been recommended in Chambers and Partners 2013’ for “his incredible knowledge of the [TMT] sector and both sides of the investment dialogue" and by Legal 500 2013 for his “excellent knowledge of the [TMT] sector”. Mike’s TMT sector expertise owes much to his time as a General Partner in a technology venture fund from 2006-2008.
