In the current but outdated system, shippers and freight brokers have no up-to-date information of the current location of their freight and arrival times. They rely on multiple phone calls to drivers and dispatchers to get accurate information. Systems like Email, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Fax are all initiated after the fact, making the decision process very reactive. You have now wasted time and effort for data that could be days old. FourKites solves this problem. ---------------------------------- As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FourKites, Matt is responsible for defining and implementing the company’s vision and strategy for the team, customers and investors. Matt works closely with the company COO in creating the go-to-market strategy based on the analysis and insights from market research. Matt also works closely with the company CTO to guide technical innovation and product roll-out; define product road-maps; prioritize feature implementations based on customer feedback and secure key intellectual property including patents and trademarks.
