Recovering journalist turned communications practitioner
I am a former journalist with more than 25 years of experience and now a seasoned communications practitioner, specializing in writing, editing, crisis, financial, and other strategic communications.
I was a partner at FGS Global (formerly Sard) for two years after nearly seven years as the San Francisco office head of Sitrick And Company. Prior to practicing strategic communications, I was West Coast Editor and Technology Columnist at Barron's Magazine for 13 years.
In addition to Barron's, I was a staff writer for The Wall Street Journal and financial columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle among other outlets.
I was also a regular on-air contributor to CNBC and Fox Business. My reporting spanned beyond business, ranging from politics to sports to foreign affairs. My first full-time job was as an on-air television reporter for public television, and my first media pay check came in college as a color commentator for Oklahoma Sooner football games on the radio.
