I began my career as a ghostwriter in 2002. I have been retained to write on such topics as med mal litigation, the life of a pro athlete, and the SEC. I co-authored the 50th anniversary book for Cuyahoga Community College. I am the co-author on a series of books related to the cloud, cloud computing, big data, security, and broadband. My first traditionally published book will be released in the March 2016 by Tor/Forge.
As an aspiring author I realized that there was a need in the market for a writers community. I founded WritingRoom.com an online social network for writers that launched in 2006. WritingRoom.com won NEOSA’s Best of Tech Awards for Best Website 2009.
While filming author interviews for WritingRoom at the International Thriller Writers Association it was apparent that authors needed an affordable and innovative way to create book trailers, pitches and interviews to market their books since the publishing industry no longer provided marketing budgets. This sparked the idea for Whisteo.
Whisteo allows a user to film green screen video without the need for a studio, specific device or special lighting. Users can add images or videos behind their videos with a simple to user interface. Videos can easily be shared anywhere. Whisteo was a finalist for Most Promising Start-Up at NEOSA’s Best of Tech Awards in 2014 and is currently a finalist in Cose’s Business Pitch Competition.
In 1998, after my best friend lost her life to cystic fibrosis, I became a hands-on pediatric hospice at the Hospice of the Western Reserve. I am currently a board member for Stop Abuse Campaign, an activist for Pudendal Neuralgia patients and a member of the National Association for Professional Women.
I attended John Carroll University from 1998-2002. I am currently enrolled at Stanford University (online). I have also taken numerous online coding classes at Udemy.com, Codeacademy.com at Cuyahoga Community College.
