I'm bursting with ideas!
Frustrating: Get your invention in Jay Leno's hands for 2 minutes ... but he forgets to mention where people can buy it.
Rewarding: Same as when I was a screenwriter. Seeing something scribbled on a napkin become something tangible and available to the public.
Wow. I'm not smart enough for that one. I can only look back at my mistakes which unfortunately are more than 1.
1. "For sure I'll sell some over the internet" - If the product is quite unique, you cannot sell what people aren't already searching for. Check ad words traffic first!
2. When you get your first consumer product picked up for a 30 store test by a big nationwide chain -- rent a motor home and start visiting every single store ASAP -- and politely remind them to actually put them out or suggest they might sell better if not hidden under the shower curtains.
3. Appearances on TV and in the media are the most powerful advertising -- and the price is great!
